Please keep the Rares hidden
I dont like rare icons because im focusing to much on them.
Thats why i want to see them once im idk in 50-100 meters range of them. Some customisation options would be cool. Turning then off changing range when you see them etc. I dont know why GGG doesnt let us customise the UI and these kind of things. |

" It definitely is. they will keep rares hidden - their default behavior. And even if "majority" cries to return this placeholder, its similar to the majority who want maphack, infinite currency, and never loss exp on death, and revive in place without any consequences. All those things which killed diablo 3, whos marketing department made such changes to destroy game. Last edited by Nikuksis#6962 on Oct 3, 2025, 2:21:57 PM

" THIS. THIS SO MUCH. If I had a dime for every person I've seen complain about exp loss and then go "can't be bothered to buy an omen of amelioration". Not even "can't afford", rather "can't be bothered". I dunno bro I really don't wanna sound trollish when I say "go play slots" but these arguments really make it seem like these individuals would enjoy themselves much better on something like an online casino app. |

Make it a choice
Have a tablet with a dedicated affix that enables rare visibility - perhaps even something that can only be purchased with gold. With that there's now tension - fully juiced map with no rares visible or slightly less juiced with rares visible. Seems like a compromise that gives agency to the user while rewarding those who chose not to display rares. As a final note, the more-recent Nvidia drivers, for some folks, still cause a game reset and with that, the loss of all map exploration. For those who suffer from that, having at least the rares visible following the crash recovery is a bit of relief. |
