0.3.1 Patch Notes
|
Im probably one of the weird ones that do not like this changes
Atlas its just ... empty now, you need to run all maps with 6 affixes if you want the extra content, yo need to deal with bosses in every map ... I could deal with bosses in every map before if i wanted, just add the tablets, but now its non an option I liked finding things, using the towers to prepare areas to do specific content, seen specially cool areas with the icons Now it feels like we are getting closer to poe1 just doing random maps with scarabs, and I wanted to play poe2 not poe1. |

Just passing by to say, Tower changes are ridiculous and makes me hate the game. Not sure if I can continue playing it after such downgrade. It is simply not fun any more.

Please return tablets to the towers. Lets make at least one tablet for each tower. Now it is very sad that you have small amount of content.

After the update, the health and damage of the final boss have been significantly multiplied by n times—could its health have been increased by 10 times? The Ranger build that allowed me to defeat the boss relatively easily before the update has now resulted in repeated challenge failures.
The game's defense system itself is terrible. Apart from Energy Shield providing positive feedback, other defensive stats offer no cost-effectiveness at all. Even if you EV and Armor to astronomical numbers, you still get one-shot killed. Why is the game designed this way? The drop rate for farming is already extremely low. Given the official drop rates, except for game studios, most players simply cannot complete all the game content and eventually get a viable, comfortable build. If this game is designed for the top 1%-5% of players (like community speedrun challenges?), why do they need so many people to participate? Just to make fun of the players? I suggest that the official recommended builds should first clear Tier 15 and Tier 16 content, and publish the clear times. Stop just putting together flashy but useless stuff. Fuck soul-like. Fuck permadeath runs. Fuck Contra-style difficulty. |

I was very excited for this update. It sounded really good.
As I played it though... I started to feel a bit restricted when it came to 'juicing' and in order to get maps to be even close to the juicing I could get before the patch I would be forced to attempt the maps with no extra portals. This led me to stop playing after trying about 8 maps and losing on them. I got to level 90 before the patch and enjoyed every second of it. Sure some changes were needed to how endgame worked with towers but this feels like it was a bit too much. I've almost reached 1000 hours since the start of PoE2 and I've never played the first game. I'm extremely happy with the enjoyment I've had with the game so far, so thank you GGG. I look forward to whatever you may do next and I hope you reconsider quite a few of the changes you made with this update. With your track record I'm confident you'll do more great things with the game. :) Also, what happened to the audio? it was a complete mess after the update :/ P.S Please add the rare monster icons back. " no. we wanted towers gone, and they are still in the game. we are taking their functionality being gone, as a win. sextant (towers) were removed for the same reasons people complained about them in poe1. cat is out of the bag. cant put it back. they definately need to make scarabs...i mean the new precursors... better. having a range of 25-70 for example on on some these mods on them... is too large. that is the biggest problem with them. making 95-97% of precursors you pick up, unsellable... is the problem. even the most casual of casuals, would look at the number 70.. and anything below.. say... 50.. they wouldnt put in the map device. so half to over half... of precursors you would pick up.. not even your friend dad gamer would use to forget he has to change a diaper for 30 minutes. |

I cant avoid thinking that there are 2 groups of players here
- 1 that liked the map , towers, exploration and so on - 1 that wants to pick 1 map, lets say, "a random flat desert one", put in tablets/scarabs and run the same map from 10 hours poe 1 style. Would it be out of place to do both? like "if you pick a map that its not buffed by towers / preexisten modifiers" you can put in tablets/scarabs, and if it is "kinda buffed" you can put at most enought so the "extra tablets content goes to 3"? Or maybe we should have multiple endgame methods /systems, but that is something for ggg to think about. Last edited by JinxieHuppelploof#5288 on Oct 3, 2025, 9:00:28 AM

" and i cant help thinking, that only 1 of these options allows you to do both of those things. and that 1 option... isnt a web connected infinite atlas. its the one that gives players complete agency in choice of what they do. want to put in random maps to change scenery sure can do that. want to run the same map for 7 weeks in a row? can do that. want to run some unique maps? can do that. the point is choice. and it was taken away from the player, from poe 1... to poe 2. |
