Bring the Tower back! Reverse Tablet Tower Update!

I thought that the extra random content found in maps was "in addition" to the atlas points? I am specced into both shrines and essences, but neither even shows as a map mod unless it's on a tablet.. Is this intentional?

The previous patch was great, it's the most I've enjoyed the game since release, but now the maps feel janky and kinda lackluster. Lots of quality of life is missing like rare icons and actually seeing the extra content icons when entering the map. I don't normally complain about patches, but this feels mostly like a giant QOL nerf more than anything and makes the game kinda unfun even for casuals like me.
This is not a fun patch... Don't actually enjoy any of the changes, so I think that's it for me for this league.
Extra content is defenitely bugged, tried a couple of maps without overseer tablets with all shrine passives and barely got 1 shrine on map (and it seems to be the extra content rolled, no the 550% increased chance on atlas + tablets). Also founding far less stronboxes but hey tons of spirits, shame its loot is lame and easy to mess up when the fox spam zekoa in the middle of delirium fog and explosions.
I tried to find another way to make the currency drop acceptable, but alas, the old method with towers was the most effective, it’s boring and uninteresting to play like that, it’s time to end with this league.

10% Quant per tablet from 7%, doesnt look like they get 2 to 3 time stronger...

30% Quantity against 63% Quantity with 3 tower set up, that's really sad


Except that's 30% quant for 10 maps for 3 stones, not 63% for 18 maps for 9 stones (AND you have to hit the 3x overlap, where now it can be EVERY map).

Sooooo...maybe focus less on the 1 map out of 100 that was better and focus on the 60-70 out of 100 that will be better now.


except your forgetting that in a 3 tower setup... you still have maps that are 2 tower influenced. which would still be more than the 30% cap that currently exsists from this midleague change.

and in a 4 tower setup... you add another layer in there.

maybe you should focus less on whatever it is you are focusing on.

and actually think of the full picture before you spout off condecending remarks.

its not 'dont think about the 1 map in your setup that is better, think of the other maps that will be... slightly... better.'

its in reality... in a 3 tower setup.... you have most likely 3-8 triple juiced. and like 10-20 double juiced nodes. with the outlining maps being single juiced... probably numbering in the 5-10 range.

in this scenerio ... you would be losing out on potentially, 28 maps that would be better than the current cap of 30%.... out of 38.

where i come from. having 73% of the maps you were running, nerfed significantly.... is pretty trash.

thats the full picture. without snide remarks.

(and then you do all these maps. and find out that most of your single infuenced tower maps... actually are near the next tower. and then might get juiced to 2 towers...making this situation even more than 73% nerf)

(( oh and you can double all those numbers... if you used visions for each tower ))


How about we revert the towers back to 3.0 but keep the new tablet mechanic, you can drop them in a tower as a one time thing, the number of maps they influence is affected by their uses remaining, AND you can carry a set map to map and juice them alongside the ones you left in a tower nearby, 2 tower overlaps become 3 tower overlaps at the cost of the tower tablets no longer being reusable. people who don't want to look for overlaps don't have to, people who want to go on a hobbit adventure for 90% of their gameplay get to
Atlas now is useless, no icons of mecanics, no reasons to choose where to go, just put tablets and go. Who figured out this... You can make Atlas as a line, single chain, one map by one, it will be the same. Towers were not perfect but exceedingly more interesting to plan and play

That's been my feeling, as well. The Grand Project unique tablet is still semi-useful to clear fog and extend the accessible map, but you also lose it if you happen to die attempting the tower. Tablets are also less accessible for folks on the earlier side of the endgame.

I ended up rolling a new character to play the campaign again instead of bothering with the maps.
Tried a new SSF run on 0.3.1 and it was horrible, sound now gets fully bugged every few instances, solved only with full game restart. Somehow the server performance/desync feels worse also.

The alchemy orbs felt super bad. I only got a few through the full campaign and I wasn't rushing it at all, even doing most abysses. Maybe if they actually upgraded a blue item with 4 additional random mods instead of rerolling it fully it would be fine for upgrading blue gear and maps later on.

The rare icon change is bad. At least give us the option to turn it back on. I would also like to have other "non-native" rares displayed on the map as well. For example the rares spawning from abyss could have green skulls, the ones spawned by ritual red, the delirium ones grey, breach purple and so on...

I can't believe I am saying this but I preferred the tower endgame over whatever this is. The problem with the old system was terrible, inconsistent and bugged atlas generation which is not solved now, just much less noticeable/frustrating when it happens now. Imho bring back towers for now and start working on a completely new system or at least make atlas hexagon based so that the generation and connections can follow some non spaghetti logic. Hexagons would also allow it to be more dense on the screen and completely clear as to how far towers are influencing before you put the tablets in and it would also allow you to have atlas generation rules that would make tower overlap minimums and maximums much more consistent. There should be only a few maps affected by only 1 tower and the 3 tower overlap should be the cap and the tablets balanced around that.
randomly got a shop with a 200 div item which is gonna help a lot against bosses - rarest item on de server . Patch Is Fine - NP SEEMS !!!_!!!
