I don't think I can do this every 3 to 4 months., the campaign is just too long.

And for that reason he should move on. PoE 2 is clearly not a game for him but for some reason he's here since launch complaining about core aspects of the game. At this point I'm under impression that he's just some angry guy who is arguing just for the sake of attention.

We cant just shutdown feedback like this with. "yeah game isnt for you"
Thats not good. That leads to nothing.

It's not really feedback though, but more "I don't even have 12h to finish campaign every 4 months".
His issues are greater than campaign length.
THe campaign is great, but mapdesign very often isn't. Deadends and far spread sidequest locations consume alot of time and don't offer any fun at all. It's the opposite. Walking into deadends or having to backtrack to possible sidequest locations are frustrating.

If they would remove deadends (or make them WAY more interesting) and streamline sidequest locations, the campaign wouldnt feel so tedious. I don't mind the hours, I just mind these situations where I feel my time as a player gets wasted by non-needed map-design choices.
yeah i was making new character, got act3 and realized well maybe it is just time to close game and go other :D

not coming back if acts taking this long
like why devs focus to much acts when there is nothing to do in maps

I agree with you, but you can say it without getting personal let me quote a comment. saying it this way isnt okay
. ofc he gets angry

Personally, I would not use PoE 2 as a Gateway Drug away from Life Responsibilities (being a father to kids whose mother died).

I wasn't being personal.
I meant it as in "If you're so starved for time that a 12h campaign is an issue, you should worry about IRL instead of PoE"

I was talking about the comment i quoted. Not your comment
Doing the campaign the first three or for leagues will be fine, but the more endgame content the game has, the less people will feel like doing the campaign over and over again every league. They want to expirience the new stuff,
not do somethign they've done tenth (up to hundreds) of times in the past more than neccesary.

For that, I'm quite confident that the "it's fine, we don't want PoE1 crowd" will be the first demanding a campaign skip once the endgame has been fully fleshed out.
Problem is they want you to have fun in campaign not skip it like in the first game. They want to make sure campaign is as fun as end game mapping. They literally said, if people think campaing is too long or boring then that means they need to make campaign more fun than it is.

This will be a hardtask for them, it will be hard to balance both of them. As long as end game will be super duper efficient than campaign then people will want get done with campaign as quickly as possible.

I simply can't understand why people want to amass tons of currency asap while it only leads to inflation and insane cost of items. I see no point in this except for maybe flex.
My campaign does take more than 12h even with working build.

On second playthrough, I had gold, some gems and many orbs. I played as Merc Grenade and smashed everything in one go. It took me somehow 24h to complete full campaign with all side quests for points/ spirit.

24h xd
