Make the ascendency FUN, not a CHORE
" It's ultimately what we decide to do with our free time. If it sucks - we move on. We might demand changes for awhile, but if they don't happen - too bad. In the end the developers will have to face the consequences since it's their job, not ours |

" Actually I heard that 0.4 is going to address 3rd and 4th ascension. Because in Act 4 we already had a trial, but it was rewarded with 2 skill points this time. I was actually surprised that they didn't give us 2 ascendancy points for that. Nevertheless after campaign we should have our ascension complete, because some builds rely on these to be complete, and lacking points is not good. In the endgame we should have one more optional ascension so we may have 10 points total, but it still shouldn't be that annoying as trials are now. It should rather be somehow related to progress. |

it is not about players being lazy or lacking the skill to do the trials.
It is more like how it was built to be too much punishing and it is fun to be done once but when it is repeated every league, it becomes a hassle and definitely not fun. So they should tune it to be easier, just like every other content in the game and the campaign. Also, repeating all floors to reach the 7th and 8th point of ascendancy make no sense at all specially since all the previous floors are not rewarding enough. I understand they want to make those rewards in the final stage of each trial super rewarding to achieve but be flexible in the game design for example, doing trials for points 1 to 6, make it without repeats. So the player can progress in a steady curve to the endgame and perhaps for the 7th and 8th to make it spicy for the players, can be kept to do all floors. There are definitely a lot of solutions to make the trial system better. |

" Nonononono, it's never fun. Not even first time. But the first time it's not fun, and 3rd and 4th are pure torture, it goes waaaay below "not fun". |

" No, its not the 35th room, its failing the last boss room because of the movement slowing orbs. "Got to admidt I'm getting better, getting better all the time" - Paul McCartney, John Lennon

" The sheer fact that we need to go 35 rooms IN ONE GO without single death otherwise we lose ALL progress is something that blows my mind. I don't even know what kind of psychopath would think this is a good idea to keep pretty much basic progression (because for most people 8 ascendancy points is still part of basic progression) gatekeeped behind something like that. Did they have like SINGLE person in entire team that actually tried to do it and said afterwards that it was great? I just don't believe it. Not to mention that we should have all ascension points available at level ~~60-65, when endgame starts. |

" Yeah, imagine having to run all four labs in PoE 1 in one go for the 4th ascendancy... |

" I really know no one that really likes the trials. It's also not about being lazy. I wouldnt mind fighting 10 bosses in a row to get my points. But I don't like this very different playstyle they offer. Sekhemas for example is very rogue-like and has a lot of random elements in it which you can't control. 99% of the game doesnt offer gameplay like this. It's purely fighting against monsters. So why gate the ascendencies behind these 1% content, which is very different from the core gameplay? Same goes for Ultimatum. The debuffs are way to brutal in the end and sometimes you only get to choose between the worst ones... In the core gameplay, I don't have to meddle with these debuffs. When mapping, I can choose the modifiers myself or which map to play. But in ultimatum, I'm forced to go with the choice of debuffs the game is offering me. I dont mind these mechanics existing. I just wouldnt gate the necessary ascendencies behind them, so that people can do these optionally. |

" Its more like running all 4 main Labs AND all 6 of the smaller Labs that start in endgame at a T18 Monster level with no Life regen. "Got to admidt I'm getting better, getting better all the time" - Paul McCartney, John Lennon

" So you have prove for that "1% of the playerbase likes these trials" claim? |
