Shade Walker on rare abyss mobs

This mod is awful, there's numerous holes in my wall from me yeeting my controller after running into this.

Open to suggestions on how to deal with it as a monk, run dodge away to escape just appears on top of you, add that with all the ground degens joyous.

Had one with the mana drain aura on top.
Im not playing this game until they take that out. ABSOLUTELY UNPLAYABLE. Whoever owned this needs to get a point or something at gggs hate this game right now because of that one mod thx alot great idea.
I think the mod is quite obnoxious but for those reading, I've discovered a way to deal with it as melee - it's not pretty, but it's been working for me.

The mob teleports on top of you and lays down a pool of degen sauce at the same time, every 6 seconds or so. I'm probably wrong about the time, I'm just trying to relive the scenario in my mind.

I have a shield + mobility support so I hold up my shield and walk away from the mob, it teleports onto me - I dodge roll backwards to escape the degen pool. During this, the mob will move towards me still (they're usualy speedy af too) and the mob walks up to me, letting me draw it away from the degen pool. This gives me time to shout and perform an attack (I usually use rolling slam), and then (if necessary) I do the shield up + walk-away part again, and repeat the process until it's dead. At this point, I usually one shot them unless there's increased life mods or something else making it tanky.

It does require a little bit of space, and usually these mobs are so tanky that my other initial attacks have already cleared out any interfering trash mobs leaving only these dark horsemen of fuck you to deal with.

Anyways, I think this mod is a little too powerful compared to the other ones. The degen pool is also hard to see, which makes it feel a bit unfair while trying to avoid it.

Shade Walker is the stupidest things. unfair for melee.

Kinda surprise it didn't get fix from last patch like wth

I usually don't mind weird Mechanic but this one is just too much

Melee have to stay still to fight but also have to dodge all those ground on death Effect

Now Melee have another one that will just fuck them up so hard on top of all those

ATLEAST remove the stop regen, I don't know why there should have a Mod that "Disable Healing" on player to begin with

if it's a Boss Mechanic that's reasonable but on Rare Mob ? that's too much

I got jumps in by 3 Big Rare mob all have Shadewalker, everywhere is Degen ground, no way to counter that.

Super annoying modifier to deal with. I just keep a ranged skill on the back burner for when I run into rares with it. Feels pretty negligible now. Hated it before that though..

Wdym "it scales with armor"?
It's a DoT that doesn't come from a hit, so armor doesn't mitigate anything.

Either that, or my 16k armor is bugged.
Seems fine after the nerf. Haven't died to it since the fix. You prob just need to learn how to kite them better, as pulling them out of the Shade makes them easy to kill. If you put in some practice and get better at the game I promise you it's not that bad. Good luck!!!
It should be good with the nerf, you are not supposed to "tower tank" them, you need to kite.

This "mechanic" or modifier is the worst thing in the game and makes Abyssal Depths an absolute nightmare for melee classes, especially Dex melee...
Its basically an insta-death every time and I find myself just running for my life every time one of these show up and I usually just end up dying anyway...

This "mechanic" needs to be completely removed from the game or they need to make is so that revives count for Abyssal Depths as well... Getting 1 attempt at it with this mechanic just sucks a$$...
