My Wife Wants a Pretty Character
Look guys, theres not a LOT of girls out there who play hardcore pc games, let alone games like POE and darksouls. My wife's constant complaint about poe is not about mechanics or classes, or nerfs. Its about clothes!
Please consider something that will appeal to additional woman in the attire department so I can stop having a conversation about how ugly the characters in the game are. Honestly shes not wrong. My ranger sounds like she's packing a big arrow. Last bumped on Sep 13, 2025, 12:47:15 PM

1000% agree. There need to be "hot" buyable cloth in the microtransaction store.

" -1. It's wonderful that the clothes for men and women are athletic-inspired, not sexy-inspired. Almost the only game on the internet for which this is true. The game directors have impressed me for years by sticking to that. SSF Rise of the Abyssal Ice Strike Invoker, high survivability and fast clear speed. Deprioritize armor and resistances; prioritize crafting a weapon and faster start of ES recharge. Build is shown at level 47, end of Act 3. It tore through Act 3 like butter.

" You mean malformed bodies with holes, horns, or body parts totally replaced by formless vfx? With faces covered by who knows what?:) No idea how these "premium" armors even sell. |

The current level of microtransactions is just disgusting. Many microtransactions have clipping issues. The new Goblin Skin works terribly with the Act 1 dress: on the dress, the character’s human skin shows through the slits. Some MTX that replace the entire body completely ignore the character’s proportions. Armor becomes way too big for a female character, as if it was all slapped together just to port it from the first game. The Pandemonium boots have an awful “seam” on the top textures. In general, there’s some kind of problem with leg polygons in the game. They look terrible, unnatural; most sets simply hide the upper part of the legs on female characters entirely. The new Goblin Shaman/Witch Doctor set at least lets you show some leg, whereas most of them add some ugly knee-length underwear. Take the Apostle Of Justice boots—once again they slapped some janky boxers on the female character; it’s just awful, and I don’t even have a preview. I really hope we’ll get more stuff like that Goblin set, as well as skins for the main characters. I just can’t play the archer; the way she looks just irritates me. Even the goblin looks better.
All the sets look like some paladin boss sets—absolutely identical. Okay, I can understand a couple like that, but not all of them. As for arguments about lore, that’s just laughable given the current microtransactions: random crabs, children with huge heads. It looks cringe. I hope we actually get DIVERSITY here so I can make an attractive character I want. Last edited by INeverAlone#0859 on Sep 3, 2025, 6:53:55 PM

The sorceress is very beautifully rendered. I'd say that's the most beautiful character model in all of the top ARGPs. Nothing in Diablo 4 nor Last Epoch comes close.
So I call bullshit -- you essentially want a naked skin. That's not the same as "pretty character". You should have changed the subject of your post to "My wife wants a lingerie model skin with victoria's secret angel wings". At least you'd be honest with the community at that point lol. |
