Also, every game I know that "removed" early game such as campaign due to whining all turned bad later.

I believe the game needs to be fixed and Im not sure that will happen. The campaing is bad because its in game that is bad.

Only reason I bother playing is because i want to see the story. Once.

I repeat. From my experience the problems with campaing have nothing to do with the campaign itself. Its how the game is made. Gameplay is slow. Hard to craft. Stuff doesnt drop. Bosses are damage sponges. Ect.


No, the campaign is bad because it is too long. Having a 20-hours long campaign in a game "that can be played forever" and where you're stupposed to start over multiple times every 4 months makes zero sense. It could be 10 times better and people would still burn out eventually.


Totally agree. Way to much walking. Friends are boycotting POE2 because of Act 2 and 3. Now its 4, later 6 acts. Torture it is.
The answers so far have been essentially "no, you are wrong" and "my friends say so".

It's simple - everyone who thinks that real game starts after the campaign is wrong. PoE 2 is not a MMO.

Totally disagree, as do others, so NO, it will not make everyone happy.

As a D2 player who does 5 Acts 3 times, I am happy to have one campaign to get me to endgame, no matter if it takes 30h.

My first character each season, I like to full clear each area, as I feel it gives me value and its also my contribution to the devs who spent thier time designing each area. Leaving areas uncleared just seems wrong, the first time through. But then I possibly have OCD.

Dreadnaught should be 1 zone, several act 3 zones need a bit of trimming.

(though I agree act 3 is a bit too long)
I love the campaign, it's a big part of the game. I have been missing an ARPG with a proper campaign.

But, sure, they could streamline some of the maps during the campaign to speed it up a bit, but that's it.

You're perfectly happy to run the same handful of waystones hundreds and thousands of times, but then talk about running the campaign a second time like it's c&b torture. The only difference I see is that you're not scooping endgame loot to get rich on in the campaign. If that really spoils the fun to an "unacceptable" level for you then fine - but don't act like your personal take on this is objective truth. I love running endgame maps but I also absolutely love the campaign - I like getting new passive points to spend and I like getting new massive gear upgrades every 30-60 minutes. The campaign is fun and I have no issue whatsoever with how long it currently takes and would be happy if it took longer.

You guys talk about the campaign like it's just an obstacle between you and the "real game." Again, you have every right to feel that way, but you really need to stop talking about your personal f'ing opinion on the matter like it's just a universally accepted truth because it's absolutely not.


End game's purpose is to achieve power level to beat every uber boss at max level.

It's called grind. That's why most of us play arpgs.

If I wanted ARPG with 30 hour campaign and loot I'd go play Kingdoms of Amalur or Dark Souls if I wanted to sweat.

POE1 and POE2 are meant to be that lootfest grind games.

If they are supposed to be campaigns and you grind there then GGG needs to be upfront and change how the game works rather than constantly talking about end game.

NOPE. poe1 is meant to be d2-alike grind, but turned out a zoomer lootfest.
I hope poe2 is going more in action gameplay route, rather than zoomfest.

And campaign should be long and rewarding.
Yet i would like if there will be an option to start maps earlier for those who want maps. Like level 30 maps runners opening tier -39 waystones etc whould be hillarious (and extra stash tab for low-level waystones)
i dont know why people want to skip campaign, when maps provide are exactly the same gameplay, but with limited portals.
Maybe you want not the campaign to be shorten, but given you lvl70 faster? Do some reflection of yourselves.
