This boss clearly has too high DPS numbers. His attacks knock me down with 1-2 strikes.
I am surprised you even made it to this boss with such low hp pool.. I had such amount in A3. I am sorc and I have 1220hp and 970ES when I first time reached Azmadi
Dud, I am at the end of Act III and have less than 80-0 HP and 150 ES despite every effort to improve in about 24 hrs played or so.

Lightning warp build which doesnt work, bugged? so went back to playing POE & LE until they fix, not interested in playing a LA like 99.9% and having to trudge through campaign, game feel more n more like a gatcha

I'm not noticing a difference. I fought him 5 times yesterday, and then 3 today after hot fix. He still one-shots from range with an insta-charge-smack attack.
I have 1340 life and 5423 armour. On top of that I have 10% physical DR from Encased in Jade.
For him to one-shot me, the hit must be >= 1911. This is from solving the following equation for X:
X * (1 - 5423/(5423 + 10*X)) * 0.9 = 1340
So he's popping off approximately 2k phys hits, with what feels like a small dodge window. If not a small dodge window, then I'd at least say "poorly telegraphed".
I guess this also shows why people complain about armour being weak. I'm only mitigating 22% of the hit with my armour. With the 10% PDR from jade, I'm mitigating 30%. Kinda bad considering how many +armour% nodes I've taken in the tree.
I managed to beat him with 10500 armour, but the sad thing is that insane amount of armour (for campaign) only reduced the physical damage by 33%. The 10% PDR from "encased in jade" then made the total damage reduction 40%. Only 40% damage reduction on the physical hits (and again that is with Encased in Jade).
This is why deflection is a better mechanic. You get 40% regardless of the size of the hit. That's better for big hits which is the time you really need your defenses to come through. Armour rocks little hits. I can stand in a pack of white trash and let them club me forever without issue. But when you really need it, armour lets you down :(.

I just fought Azmadi (blind HCSSF) and was terrified seeing his name dropped here and people bitching about him over and over.
1st try he melted ezpz, lost about 1k ES at some point, I genuinely don't know what these people are on about.

They are just too dumb to dodge and learn patterns. I bet they try to facetank everything with their glas-canons.
I've beat him 2nd try with my shitty fire/ice sorc build. Wasn't even that hard.

how? Im using a poison pathfinder build and i only died once.
