Merchant tab is NOT an upgrade.

"
Man we finally get something we have been asking for since like 2014 and still people manage to complain about it...

I'm not complaining about getting it though? What makes you think I dislike the addition?

If you read more of the posts I've made in the thread it is quite clear that is not the case.

And my opinion is that it is not an upgrade, which is still what it's labeled as. It's a different tab, not an upgrade.

Who gives a crap how its labeled. It clearly states what it is in the text on the page. The reason you are complaining is because you read "upgrade" and proceeded to upgrading without reading the rest of the text.

I do give a crap how it's labeled, and again, if you read more of the posts you will see it clearly does not state what it is in the text on the page.
You should not lose a bunch of core functionality in an upgrade without it being clearly spelled out.

And yes, I am complaining that it says upgrade and there's obviously other people having issues with this as well so I fail to see how it is not relevant?
Just because you and some other people don't care about losing stuff you've paid for doesn't mean others don't.

I don’t care what other posts say, because it CLEARLY states on the page what will be the result of upgrading the tab. Nothing outside of what’s written there is happening. If more people are complaining about it, that just means, as usual, they didn’t bother to read the instructions. You included. I do care about losing stuff, that’s exactly why I read the text and knew what would happen. Stop blaming others for your own ignorance.

I dont care what other posts says because it CLEARLY states on the page what will happen if you upgrade the tab. Nothing outside of what is written there is happening. If more post complain about it, then all that means, is that as usual, none of these people read instructions, you included. I do care about loosing stuffl, thats why i read the text, knew what will happen and converted half of my tabs, not all of them. Stop faulting others for your own ignorance.

Again, if you read the other posts I've posted here it clearly does not state on the page that you will lose base functionality etc. Which, in my opinion makes it again, a switch not an upgrade.

But yeah, seeing as you won't take 5 minutes of your time to get the full picture I'm not even sure why I'm arguing with you.

Edit: Also, I'm not blaming anyone, I'm giving feedback and I do feel strongly about this since it's about players money. Don't try to find drama where there is none.

Other pain points:

- You can't convert quad tabs. I have multiple quad tabs that I purchased solely for trading, that will be of no use in the new trading system.

- You can't set the prices of the whole tab at once, you need to set the price of each item individually. Changing price of a tab before took a few seconds, now it would take many minutes.

- You can't access your merchant tabs from your stash, if you want to put some items for sale, you need to move to your inventory and walk to the NPC, an unnecessary incovenience.

There is no technological reason that justifies previously premium regular/quad stash tabs not being able to function as merchant tabs. Occam's razor points merchant tabs as being pure internal monetization strategy, which I find a low blow bait and switch from GGG.

Agreed.

I will say this, my skepticism is not born from GGG's previous behavior, more so seeing a lot of other companies going down that type of path, Blizzard, Bethesda etc.

My faith in GGG is pretty much at the same level as I had for Blizzard at around the early 2000's. Here's hoping and believing they won't go down the same path :)
I really hope they fix this issue, as again, no one on the dev team seemed to have given this any real thought.

As it is now, the devs have screwed over a vast many users who "upgraded" their premium tabs to these new "merchant" ones, but there is no reversing it. You literally LOSE all your premium tabs and can no longer use them, as they are now PERMANENT merchant tabs.

For something players paid for to get premium tabs, this is a slap in the face, and something that needs to be reversed.
Jesus...people in this forum will complain about everything...The merchant tabs are freaking great.
They are rushing things to stay on their schedule, even if the systems they develop are not ready.

This sucks.
