Act 1 seemed mostly okay to me and I was able to get through it fairly quick, things don't slow much until 2+ from what I feel.
In my opinion, some slow down could be fixed if they did a few things: 1. reduced loot drops but made overall quality of loot better, or expanded inventory size. You waste so much time going back and forth to camp. Maybe add limited self disenchant/socket kits like identify scrolls. Also quest items eating inventory space for loot is really dumb. 2. Made more clear indicators of the main story path through a zone, so you could choose to beeline or fully explore. 3. Trials also are a major slog. Really should rebalance it so as a baseline they take half as long to complete, and allow you to suspend and resume them instead of needing to do it all at once. 4. make sprint not suck. Time to kill is way too long as you progress beyond Act 1. Bosses especially seem to take 5-10 minutes for an average build. I know there are builds that can destroy a boss, but why do I have to play some other build just to feel powerful.
You notice this is the only ARPG where Maxroll and other sites don't even bother posting build teir lists. It would highlight just how bad 80% of the builds/skills feel to play against this slog of a game. |

Fully agreed. It's half fun to play through it once but that's about it. It's a massive slog that burns me out every time a good chunk before I even get to endgame. I don't understand why GGG thinks playing through a massive campaign like this every single time is fun in any way, shape or form.

I completely disagree. I’m flying through the campaign, and honestly, I wish there were an extra difficulty level because it feels too easy now. I didn’t feel much adrenaline during the new boss encounters. I’m halfway through Act 4, and I’ve really enjoyed it so far. Playing shadow witch build.

" Like a lot of things, it's been brought up before but the devs don't listen. In my opinion, either they need to adjust how quickly the campaign can be gone through, or they need to rethink how seasons/leagues work along with how often they change. Personally I'd make it so there is some sort of temporary speed/xp/damage multiplier that applies for you as long as you have another character whose further along. Like if you have one character on act 4, then all later characters get a boost up until act 4. " Sure you are. Streamers have been playing through the game literally non stop since Friday for 20 to 30+ hours, afaik all without even getting close to reaching endgame and many re-rolling out of frustration but you in particular are "flying through". " He is probably playing witch minions which does indeed destroy thr campaign with no effort. Sorcerer is slightly worse but ok. Lightning arrow about the same as sorcerer. Everything else is a slog and a half. |
