Separate keys for DODGE and SPRINT please

It would be way better for the game.

Even if the sprint remains as it is (making a dodge before start running), it will be better for everyone to get two separate keys for it.

People who prefer to play as it is now, it is no change for them, they can keep using the same as it is.

But people having problem with sticky spacebar, lag, or whatever, they can dodge without worrying about sprinting, and sprinting just when they want. So please add a dodge only key.


PS: I just sometime don't understand some developers. Who came with this idea? Who supervised? Why didn't they make the obvious and better system and complicated everything? Because consoles have less buttons? Same as usual. Make a PC game with console port, not the opposite.



TLDR: Its just keeping the sprint as it is and making a new optional separate key for only dodge with no sprint afterwards.


Another better option (best case scenario): key for toggle sprint ON/OFF

While I agree with the separate I don't want to keep as it is.

I want to be able to dodge without risking a sprint and I would like to do just start sprinting without doing a dodge first.

So just separate the two would be best.

Because in this genre shift is for standing still while attacking with mouse button.
Yes, give me the ability to completely disable sprint. It is never good, and usually bad. I'm sure the bugs will be fixed, but there are situations/collisions that can cause WASD to be disabled temporarily. I found using right-click skill would resolved it.

Barring bugs, Sprint is bad. You have very little control, which results in colliding with a pebble or flower scattered all over the zone. And if you get knocked down by an attack it is death. What is the point of this feature other than to wait for clips and laugh at noobs dying when they use it? Checkpoints are pretty much always faster. Town is too small to use sprint. For real, please remove Sprint and find an appropriate fix for movespeed.
Controller/console can't be used as an excuse for this. It would be very easy for the devs to bind dodge and sprint to the same controller button by using a double tap or hold to initiate sprint and normal press as dodge.

Playing on PC with a Dualsense Pro, I've used alternative bindings like this for poe 2 the whole time. For example, left back paddle tap would be health and hold for mana. Same thing with R1/L1 (bumpers), playing merc, at one point I had 4 types of grenades easily activated with just those two buttons using single and double taps. So much easier to use during quick combat than trying uses a combination of multiple buttons. This is really how the devs should set up controller support (and allow rebinding based on preference).
100% this, The game also set´s you into sprint if you press space multiple times and this kills me all the time. Who ever had this idea... jesus.

Is it really that hard to just tap for dodging? Sprint is only when you hold it. This doesn't seem that difficult.
