I gave this league 12 h but POE2 is Just Anti-Fun
I hope 0.4 will actually address the endgame and gameplay in a significant way. This patch is more 0.2, than 0.1 , where we actually had motivation to aim for "GG TIER" chase items like temporalis or astramentis.
Now, theres nothing. Just play mindless maps to grind for SMALL damage spikes. The sorc elemental infusion changes are absolutely crazy. There's no way this was playtested before being greenlit. Losing hope for future updates, but atleast the deadeye players can somewhat enjoy this league. |

The new payroll system is in place, every time you get paid , Debbie from accounting walks over and kicks you in the testicles. You know Debbie the one with the big feet. Its a chinese owned company, the only thing that matters to them is money. Tencent - the chinese company that owns this game - also owns a lot of bot farms and thrives off of selling RMT items in almost every single game they own. The game is purposefully made bad to incentivize players to buy currency online. Give streamers massively buffed loot to sell an idea of what this game could be, but make it so that regular players have to pay to have a chance at getting those items needed to achieve that playstyle. They did it last league, they repeated it again now, probably theyll issue a "loot fix" a few months in when the hype dies down - just like they did last league. But for now you can only dream of finding those items wihtout paying Xiao Xin real money for in game currency. Feel the same about almost everything said in this thread. My biggest gripes are the ridiculously long campaign and the slow gameplay. There is no chance I will slog through the same 40 hour campaign every 3 months. And the campaign is cool and all, don't get me wrong. But the novelty wears off for me after I have played through it once or twice. In particular because it's so long.

This game is so annoying, offscreen InstaKills, plenty of craps on the ground which you did not see cuz your spells, or pretty coloured shitty maps. I appreciate i lot of work being done there by developers, but how much drugs you use on daily basis? Are you just be there to make us angry, let us being rude. Where is the fkin fun? Nowhere, atleast in poe2 atm. Things like sprint are joke, your map desing is mostly joke. And i am not talking about smoothness of the game, there is nothing like that. FPS lags on topend game rigs for years? Few map more and bye bye, there is nothing to let me stay.. And mention shitty loot ALL DAMN DAY, you just kidding us. Every class i do play there, drop only few weapon for exact class, you giving us just shitload of crappy things for another classes, where rolls are so crazy that it is enough only for dis. And "flask" style choosen there is also pretty annoying. Two packs and you have no charges, cuz white mob hit you for 90% hp. And that shits which jumpin on you, or appear from the ground and mostly killing you? Since when damn GGG discover they are not here to annoys us but make some fun for us?????????? I bet never, game desing, things like only few portals to the map and a lot shits around there is just to forcing us ignore this SLOWLY evolving thing. And one of the MOST crappy thing is game reaction for the spells clicking.. Barrage or anything else cant be used fast, because game have no clue how to behave for user interaction.. You have wait for every fakin server lag, game lag or spell lag because they made it whole SOOOOOOO SLOW.. Annoys, nothing else ALSO, league mechanic is mega boring.. I mostly disagree.
1) Sprint is not made for combat, but for running through cleared areas (for example if you missed something on the other side of the map). So running out of AoE is not even a use case for this feature. The only issue I see is the unexpected use of sprint on combat. But that can be fixed as soon as devs read about it and have some time to fix it (there are also other issues that have to be addressed). 2) I guess it highly depending on your preferences. People have different expectations. 3) I play Chronomancer with quarterstaff - a melee build. It's very funny and I don't feel weak. In fact I often run through all the mobs before fighting them (even abyss mobs). I also played fire warrior last season which I am pretty sure that this warrior would also be easy on this season (even with less resistances). I don't know much about meta, but as far as I know they're no "official meta" builds, but still fun to play and strong. Btw a friend plays physical Witch, 80% on melee. He agrees with me. Last season he played a shield warrior that places walls everywhere. He thinks this build got buffed for the current season and would work even better. 4) Sure, mobs on mass have to be killed via AoE. That's the whole point of AoE - otherwise you could remove it entirely from game. But these "tactics" became indeed more diverse - at least for my character. 5) Non casters have also huge AoEs. You just need to use and improve them, lol. My quarterstaff attack clears the mobs even better than my minigun multi totem build from blood mage last season. It is a monk skill. My warrior from last season has AoEs that clears even more efficient. 6) I don't think GGG was intending to make the chonomancer a melee. They want to support diversity, sure, but the ascedent skills are more aligned with mage skills. You may stuck in your own prison of "how to build a character"-mind to not realize that you actually can build more interesting things than you realize. I also don't like that permanent curses for blood mage got removed (the main reason I build on blood). So I am for sure nobody who just agrees with anything a companies does. But I want to show that your thoughts are limited to your own view while other people have fun dealing with things as they're right now. Maybe not every detail, but "unplayable" etc is just nonsense. Many people should learn to differentiate between their own expectations and what's actually the real case. | |
