I gave this league 12 h but POE2 is Just Anti-Fun

there are like 4 viable builds for league start, more than actual characters that exist.

It's clear not one person played through this as any other class to playtest, that's our job and why this thread is a thing.

There is so much potential and it's just not there yet.
my biggest issue is the fact that 95% of skills you can’t use unless you jump through hoops and do some sort of dumb combo just to use the skill. Every time I think of what I wanna play and I look at the categories of skills I’m reminded there’s maybe two of them in each category that are actually usable.
And even though the usable ones, you have to use another skill with it as it’s designed with it or it’s just so much power you be foolish not to this game feels more like Diablo 4 then path of exile one by a long shot.

You clearly have better knowing and like it as it, but most playerbase dont.

Different opinions are fine, but a "fact" looks different to me. Many people just enjoy the game without writing on forum.

I'm using mostly melee skills, but teleporting with sorceress is just fun in combination to it. I am not much more experienced than "most playerbase". I just thought "want to try out female melee" and "wanna teleport" ... thought about fire (building on the left side of skill tree) or lightning (right side) and decided for right side, because of shorter skill path = more flexibility.

In fact, it was a lot of "just wanna try out" and trial & error. "Oh, I cannot handle the damage taken anymore, how can I do it better -> there is damage to mana, nice -> oh mana issues -> oh nice, new skills for better mana efficiency". Nothing special, no super unique knowledge needed, just a matter of mindset. For me the whole reason to have such a complex skill tree is to make use of it. Otherwise GGG could make it much easier: asking player for the class and adjust any skill automatically. Would make it much more easy for GGG to balance the game (but also would kill the reason people like me enjoy this game so much - there are no much games with free skill trees like this).

Abysses are activated by default... Yeah so great to have many OP monsters activated by default in acts.

They even lied with 0.3 being filled with buffs to everyone, when in fact everything good got destroyed again. Like Volt Support and many other supports, many nodes in the tree etc.

Sprinting is literally a joke instead of normal movement skills from PoE1. It's unuseable and even got that "twist" when you end sprinting and stuck for 0.5 seconds or something.

I have to force myself to clear story because I want to read dialogues (and uninstall most likely unless a build that can clear properly is emerged).

Buffs for everyone... they lied to you.... nerfs to PC again, buffs to envisioned classes only. sounds familiar? soon all chars outside of envisioned classes will ave to wear yellow nameplates
I bought the buffs for everyone hype. It was either wrong or an outright lie.

So far I've seen only 1... deadeye

A lot of people say witch minion build but it's not true because of Act 4 interlude dual blood mage boss... they heal up to full health if they hit anything in their path.... including minions..

That's 1 boss completely invalidating an entire build...
Nad I'm sure that's true for other bosses when it comes to other classes too


Interlude is... as with anything new GGG introduces... and absolutely atrocious mess

A lot of people say witch minion build but it's not true because of Act 4 interlude dual blood mage boss... they heal up to full health if they hit anything in their path.... including minions..

That's 1 boss completely invalidating an entire build...
Nad I'm sure that's true for other bosses when it comes to other classes too

Witch minion has always peaked near Act 3 then hit a wall except first leaague where arsonist slaughtered the game. I dont doubt you are right but I cant bring myself to trudge out of act 1.

At least it cures my insomnia.

It doesn't peak though... it makes the boss actively impossible to defeat... it's not like I'm dting from atrition... any damage I deal is just healed right back by the boss... so it's an eternal stalemate

Guess someone should tell all those hardcore players on the ladder that only 4 builds are viable

Anyone that plays hardcore in this game has a masochism complex. I used to play HC in POE1 but in this game that is insane. I guess if you are a streamer where your whole life is the game ... maybe then.
