Please create Div shards and auto break div into fractional div
" Not trolling =p. We'll have to disagree on our points. But one nit I will pick: Content creators are not a good sampling of the player base. And majority of the popular ones play SSF? I doubt that. I'd very much like to see some solid metrics on that claim. Last edited by Sabranic_SilverDeth#2793 on Jul 19, 2025, 5:17:48 AM

" Have you, though? Because I pointed out a pretty big flaw in your entire premise: namely, that you are applying a special pleading fallacy and divine shards would not actually make trading any faster or easier, and you completely refused to even attempt to refute that point before throwing out the old "everyone who disagrees with me is trolling" deflection. I think Sabranic is being incredibly polite and reasonable, so you refusing to engage with his points honestly is not a good way to make your suggestion look reasonable or enticing to GGG. |

Making it a harbinger drop I wouldn't mind it.

" LOL " This implies i make two trades with Faustus while divine shards would make it one. That's exactly the definition of making things faster in this case. " Explicitly stating that it's still two steps to save the fraction of div I'm asking to be turned into one step through div shards. THis is also a statement that already covers someone else who jumped in later proving he was trolling or didn't read the thread before responding (aka trolling). There are multiple instances of pure trolling. Not reading the thread before posting in it (especially when putting down a suggestion) is trolling as well. REading and pretending that things weren't said, is trolling and unreasonable. Wasting peoples time with assumptions is not reasonable at all and could mislead devs who might want more concise threads rather than long drawn out threads of repeated information. If I was king, a dev would just freeze this thread b/c it's not going anywhere and I'm sorry to have wasted the kb's on their server at this point. I could keep going on man but this is just out of control. The short version of my two suggestions total in this thread are: 1. Introduce divine shards to prevent having two net trades to buy x.x divines worth of items through Faustus by allowing shards to be included int he purchase in addition to the whole, net divine amount. Divine shards would be helpful to SSF players too through Harbingers. Too rare to be cumbersome but common enough to make harby's worthy farm in all modes, to include ruthless. 2. Take away fractional divines with Faustus as nothing else is fractional. Whole numbers make things smoother. Last edited by MLongPoE#2384 on Jul 19, 2025, 11:27:33 AM

There are no "fractional" Divines on the Currency Exchange. If something is listed as 1:1.4 Div this actually means it is a bulk listing at 5:7 Div. And unless you match that offer or overpay part of it to the next full divine, the exchange will not occur. If I listed such an offer on the Bulk trade of the website and you whispered me for a single item in my bulk listing, I would ignore you unless you pay above my original listing. The currency exchange replecates this just as intended.
That being said, I am very much for the idea of Divine Shards. This could smoothen out Harbinger Rewards and make them more consistent. SSF Players would also profit and Sanctum could get some of its appeal for printing currency back, with a much smoother Reward progression, if you start with few, and and with severeal Divine shards as offers. But the currency exchange should NEVER break full orbs into shards for buyers convinience. Bulk trades can work out to any rational number per one item, Divine Shards cannot. So you would only push the "problem" around. |

I don't think that it will make trades more convenient. But i like replace exalt shards on divine shards, because after swapping exalt <-> divine role, it make more sense to have shards of more valuable currency.

" Let me clarify, the reason I'd like shards and it's because I DON'T want to be forced into buying bulk for onesee/twoseee. However, I see exactly why you have your position. You're right, the way faustus currently does it emulates the current trade scenario available on the website for trade. I just would like to see the ability to easily buy onesee/twosee type transactions and therefore my suggestion. Buying 5 fracturing orbs when I really just want to gamba one feels unnecessary and often I would whisper one person at a time and take my time finding someone that would just take a scenario where they sell just one to me. This happens with influence exalted orbs too. I don't want 5 hunter orbs in one go if I'm not going to use them. I also agree, that Faustus breaking up the divines himself into shards would be strange, however, I couldn't think of anything else when I made my suggestion. Still not sure what the most right way forward is. I don't want people to feel FORCED into harbinger farming or trading divines for divine shards (which would be the same problem I'm trying to resolve which is trading divines for chaos) before buying an item through Faustus. " I would be very open to that but people in ssf partially farm their exalts through harbinger shards otherwise they are quite rare outside of sanctum. With Sanctum, does have an abundance of exalts but I'm not sure how SSF people would respond with exalt shard farming being gone. There is always the few ruthless players too who need a way to build up exalts without sanctum too. I solely would like to see an improvement toward the direction of being able to buy without being forced into bulk trades without detriment to the eco or other modes people play in. |

The solution could be an advanced pricing at Faustus, where you can offer/buy for a div + chaos combination. I mean that should be possible, no?
I just payed a huuuge sum of gold yesterday for buying/sellign stuff in chaos that was worth 1,x div, so yeah that is in no way justified, also the gold cost for trading lots of small stuff compared to 1 div trades at Faustus is way out of line. How difficult is it ot balanced that somewhat so that one gets more expensive and the other way becomes more affordable? Why would i have to pay 20k gold if i want to buy sth for 1k chaos??? But just have to pay 500 gold if i buy it for 5 div??? Does not make sense... I know they want to tax the flippers, but there has to be another way. I would prefer limited trades per day or sth over this... Or a permanent price tag for divs so that you cannot flip with profit you can only sell at the rate you bought...might be a little bit to much, but suure would hurt those flippers, muhahaha Last edited by Strickl3r#3809 on Jul 19, 2025, 2:50:59 PM

" Your suggestion gave me an idea. What if there was a Faustus bank? where you can deposit div and chaos and it would prioritize taking the decimal amount from the chaos you deposit? Or maybe just chaos...period. Put 1k in there and it would perform some sort of exchange rate. The deposit can cost the gold as opposed to each transaction? Or maybe that's too much actually. But there has to be another way than what is current for certain. Also, the gold expense for this is ridiculous as well. However, I do appreciate the gatekeeping of flippers but also bot traders. |

" That is NOT your idea: that's exactly what I said at the beginning of this conversation which you immediately shot down as "itll never work". Page 1: "I'd be open to faustus potentially giving change in the form of chaos (based on the current median rate), but definitely NOT more shards." Your response: "I disagree with everything you said but I'm only going to explain why this part of your statement won't work." Faustus bank using chaos automatically based on an exchange rate is literally.....exactly what my line says that you vehemently denied not 1 day ago. This whole thread and your whole argument looks at less than half of what goes into a trade. And everyone else is pointing out the other parts you aren't considering, and then writing it off as trolling? I'm so tired of that scapegoat: "You disagree coherently and I can't argue it, so it must be trolling". Starting anew....with PoE 2 Last edited by cowmoo275#3095 on Jul 19, 2025, 5:19:49 PM
