People on reddit have a lot of threads that explaining how it is not a ddos attack. If you don't believe me, you can always go there and check out the threads. Nobody believes it's ddos, yet here couple of people insisting on it's ddos. I don't know what you hope to get by white knighting them, I doubt they will send you free mtx.

You're so right, obviously there is no way for GGG to fix this. DDOS is not fixable, that's why the whole internet goes dark constantly for every major webservice....ooh wait, that only happens for GGG, but it surely is't anything they're doing. /s

Hyperbole much? If GGG wasn't doing anything you wouldn't even be able to login at all. Individuals without the necessary education or technical understanding (No: a 3 minute Google search doesn't qualify you) shouldn't even comment on the topic at hand. GGG is already using that Cloudflare tickbox which is meant to be "DDoS prevention", so either it's barely working or GGG is lying about the issue.

The answer is simple they just moved POE 1 servers to shitty inexpensive hosts because they are phasing the game out. Pretty simple yet shitty business tactic of making the previous user experience worse to move them to the new one.

I immediately thought about the same thing, I remember when Diablo 3 stopped being supported properly, they also started having problems because of moving to cheap servers. They are going to either close PoE 1 or just "support" it without any major updates, well, they still donate money, but it seems like they no longer have a goal to develop PoE 1.

PoE2 has the exact same issues.
On another hand I heard changing your DNS to Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) or Google (8.8.8.8) helps.
