Changed how additional party members scale the quantity and rarity of items the player finds.
We now drop +100% more of certain Item classes like Currency and Gold as they are valuable for all players, whereas items like Armour and Weapons scale at much lower amounts. The result of this is that when in larger parties you see less non-unique equipment, and more things you actually want.
We no longer increase Rarity per player in a party but we increase the number of Uniques specifically, this will result in the same number of Unique Items per party member as before.
so you are saying I should not play solo, but if I want to be solo, bot ?

Yeah these sanctum/loot changes are not good. This is turning into Archnemesis 2.0. Idk how GGG cannot see this and play the tape out properly.
One day I have faith, the next day I have no faith. It is absolutely astounding.
If you're going to buff party play rewards then you should probably add some more incentive/systems to make party play easier and more accessible for people.

I might be the dumb one here. But I don’t understand how the changes to party drop signify such a huge buff to justify this level of outrage.
Curent bonus for 6 party members: 250 % more currency, and 112% more quantity. Roughly translates to a 7.4 multiplier to currency.
New party bonus for 6 party members: 500% more currency. The new currency quantity and rarity applies only to uniques. So it’s a x6 multiplier to currency:

Sanctum was perfectly balanced as it was. It required patience, a lot of investment and a dedicated build. You miss out on gold, the settlers mechanic, any atlas progression and any other unique drop from mapping or bossing.
Some people found it reasonable to ignore all that for the dopamine of "hey there is 2 divines yey!!!"
It's mind boggling that you nerf it because some streamer/group players who spam tier17 maps and drop 10 magebloods a day and stacks of 20 divines, think getting 2 stacks of divines every 3 tomes is too much...
You had one year to come up with some interesting Sanctum adjustments. Instead we get the last minute "developer just changed some text values" treatment.
And to make it worse you say that you are going to add new chase items in the future when, again, you literally had 1 year to do that.
Just remove the mechanic and add all unique drops to somewhere else. This is just insulting.
So true... you guys had so many time to do something better with Sanctum and, in the end, just clearly made a hasty and careless decision.
Nerfing sanctum (solo) and buffing party just makes no sense...

Revert party changes and remove quant/rarity bonus from the game completely. Solo player will never see this much of currency as a regular party player. Return back MF and Quantity for solo players

I might be the dumb one here.
You are not dumb. Just bunch of solo player babies whine about something they dont like. If i want to play with my friends i should have party multiplier obviously, otherwise why would i even play in party.
P.S. im solo player myself but maybe ill try party play.

A lot of people here complaining about the Sanctum nerf, but let's be real about it's power level:
Even when in SSF and you needed Divines, you just did Sanctum.
It was not a question of IF you'd get Divines (like in all other aspects of the game), it was a question of how many Divines and how fast.
Could most builds do Sanctum? Yes
Would all builds have an easy time? No
Were all builds as efficient doing them as dedicated builds? Ofc not
Was it still a guaranteed source of Divines? It was indeed
But could they have been announced sooner, giving Sanctum runners more time to prepare? Yes, no doubt this is a bit late to the party.
And is the change heavy handed? Potentially, we'll have to see.
I see some people mentioning this was due to a "memewar"?
As a person quite detached from the PoE online community, I can only say that you'd be able to come to the same conclusion by just interacting with the game.
Some things to this:
The imho biggest problem is the timing of the announcement. And yes, then the severity of the nerf as well.
Was it strong? Yes, ofc.
Could most builds do Sanctum? you said yes. I say no. Or at least not the players that play most builds.
It could/should have been adjusted. But holy moly, basically deleting it throughout the entire game? No, absolutely not needed.
Also: guaranteeed source of divines? Hell no. Sure, it was a high chance. But you also had the risk.
As I said in my post before. Especially early on (like the famous "I dont even kill Kitava to be able to have the 30 all res more) you needed such a highly specialized build that you have up everything else for the first few days.
"Less high end currency rewards" translates to: dont expect to see any divines anymore. We all know this.
And concerning the memewar: The only loud people to complain were actually the high end players who had other strategies and didnt want "noobs" to be somewhat competetive to them.
Its just crazy to see, that GGG gave in like that.
As I said: sure, adjust it. But then have a plan. They had ONE YEAR to think about something. And they didnt do anything. And then after a random comment from ZiggyD during the QnA they change it with the most random nerfhammer ever? Sorry, NOTHING of that was planned before that moment, NOTHING was thought through.
Change it up. Give sanctum something UNIQUE to sanctum. (and no, not only the unique relics, that you need to farm, then do a run and maybe get your reward. The runs themselves should give something uniquely to sanctum).
But this is just a gutfeeling like "yeah, lets just try it and nuke that one specifc mechanic into the ground. I am not really able to explain why, it just feels like its correct".
Dont like the approach of that entire "nerf, since we dont know what else to do".
100% agreed
