Upcoming Plans for Patch 0.2.1

Great stuff

A huge request has been that we invert the display of "Tier X" on items when using advanced item display. This is so that you can immediately identify if a modifier is the best it can be on an item. This is more for advanced and Endgame players, but is very important to being able to quickly assess the true power of an item or if it's an appropriate crafting base. We are swapping this back to work the same way as Path of Exile 1.

GAME IS SAVED!!!
Mathils actual cat
I like to hear there's developmental progress, but there's one thing you guys changed that I would really like to have back.

Skeleton Warrior gems. I'm sure it was removed to 'reduce bloat' or because 'they were a Tier 0 minion" or something, but their exclusion makes no sense to me.

They should be seen not as a Tier 0 minion or bloatware but the 'swarm minion', compared to the heavier hitting ones.

Their usage of a shield also makes them good at blocking hits frontally.

Before their removal I had a wonderful build set up around them. Sceptre minions would have infernal army, for fire explosion damage as cannon fodder, and then the gem minions would be my actual minion legion.

Now you can't have melee minions without using a sceptre until you get to the Reavers. Their removal was unnecessary and actually limits early-game minion-focused builds now, as well as some late game skeleton army-of-the-dead builds.

TL;DR I would really like to have my skeleton boys back again, can we please get the skeleton warrior skill gem back?

Thank you.
Jesus christ, 22 new Runes, 14 new Soul Cores and 7 new Talismans?
I for one would appreciate if you'd stop littering the game with this much random garbage to sort through. Inventory management fatigue is already excessive, and this game is only 5 months old. It's insane to me how much worse it is compared to the 10+ years I played PoE 1 for. I guess you really want to incentivize players to buy that new rune tab...

I am sure it's already been said but as someone who didn't really play poe1, I'm not sure reversing the affix tiers fixes the issue people are having even though everyone seems pretty happy about it. From my understanding people (including myself) don't know what the ranges are for the tiers. As in we don't know what the maximum is (and once they are reversed to poe1 style we won't know what the weakest tier is, so same underlying issue, just flipped)

If people are stuggling to know how good a tier is, wouldn't it be better to list what the highest number tier is on the affix instead of reverting to poe1 style? i.e "Epic cool thing increased by 50% T7/T15". In this example you'd know there are 15 tiers so you have a frame of reference of how good Tier 7 is. This is already done with the ranges provided on affix's values, so it's not like its completely unexpected to include some indicator for how many tiers there are as well.

An example of where the new reversed tier numbering still lacking would be if I get an item with a couple of Tier 1's a couple of Tier 2's and a couple of Tier 3's. At first glance, sounds like a pretty solid item, but turns out those Tier 3's are actually the lowest Tier possible for those affixes, oof. This is where something that shows how many possible tiers an affix can get would be really useful for QoL.

Also an obligatory, please add something that acts as a consequence for players who ignore trade request messages. Something like an automatic delist after a few whispers are ignored for x amount of time assuming the player isn't AFK maybe? Could be a good bandaid solution for while we wait for whatever else is planned with trade.

It's clear that you didn't play PoE 1 ..
The thing is, why would you ever want to know if something has the worst tier? If it's bad it's bad.. not like you are excited to find a tier 15 (lowest tier) item?

I promise you this way will work A LOT better... You can instantly see if the item is worth a lot by looking at 3x T1 3x T2 stats for example.. and even if it's full T2 it can still be godly in PoE 2...
And in the rare case that you have a T3 or T4 then why would you care if that is the mid or lowest tier available? You know which mod you want to change/remove with omens in that case...

Trust me, once you change your mindset about the affixes and you will always know when you hit jackpot on an item, crafting and the general hype of an item will become soooo much better...

Nobody wants bloated info with 7/15 tiers or what not, it's much better to just look at the item, find a few tier 3-1 mods and know that you have something worth crafting on or sell...
needs to do something about the bots and trade website srubbing , bots ruined the market faster this patch then previous
Still nothing about the freaking tornado bird in Temple of chaos one shotting.
nice work please keep on with it

aaa not true. I play only 1 hour per day and I do have fun. Now if the same was jsut erasing white mobs in one click, I would nto have fun at all. FUN DEMANDS engagement! Otherwise it is just dopamine like from smoking.

Everyone's fun is different and the fact you are having it doesn't make others are wrong because they aren't enjoying it.
Looking to get a ''soulslike'' experience from this game is like expecting blight to be a proper tower defence mechanic like the games which are dedicated to that genre.

And if you want engangement, there's others games that fill that need much better, go play Marrow, no minimap, checking your health pool is a limited resource and if you die, you will respawn at the last save point and have to pick up all the items you've picked up all over again. Forgot to mention it's a metroidvania game.
Enganging to you is fighting each white mob pack like it's a proper fight, others don't think so and would rather experience that in a boss fight and not the weakest type of enemies the game has to offer.

True, fun is relative but he said It is NOT fun. He is denying that someone could have fun with a few hours per day. So your post in fact agrees with me.

In fact why don't you follow your own advice and go look for other game? Why Your view is the one that should be valid and not mine? I can also give you pointers to low engagement activities if you want, a career in accounting is a good one... imagine being paid to do something you love.. clicking without paying attention on what you are doing.

Of course there are people enjoying it, I did not deny that and I didn't say anything against it. But there are a LOT of people ditching PoE1 and PoE2 because of the directions the games went. Almost all of my PoE1 homies left the game over the course of the last 2 years. Only 2 are actively playing a new league, from over 50. A few of them were hardcore players. They played like 10 hours a day.
Similar to PoE2, while many liked it because it was challenging they quickly realized how little the game is awarding for its difficulty.

Just saying "Yo bro go to another game" is like saying "I enjoy the game, so you have nothing to say here.".
I am not asking for free loot or anything alike. I loved PoE for what it was. I play for like 10 years now but the fun dwindles with each more approach to making both games desperately into Elden Ring ARPG.

Also they still ignore many points players ask for, for ages. For example the guilds are in a bad shape and almost impossible to setup a proper member management. Yes, we got one singular new preset role a few years back and a website log for the guild stash but still no way to create our own roles or at least have 10 roles to assign proper rights for officers, long time members, maybe stashtabs that only a few people can see. There is a lot that misses here.

Also shifting the loot to content only less than 1% of all players can actually tackle is also just dumb. The game is extremely contra-new and casual players.

Of course, if you have a big healthy guild that helps each other, it might be a different thing but if your friends all ditched the game because of what happened in the last few years and you are almost alone its even less fun.

I am happy for you, that you enjoy it in its current state, but please don't try to silence people that state their voice and dislike changes or directions GGG goes with some stuff.

Some long awaited changes. Especially hyped for visibility of volatile plants, evenly spawning citadels and new chase items. Seems the game is finally moving in the right direction. A lot of criticism of 0.2.0 has been heard and addressed while some is still around (Tower overlapping being mandatory for example, too much RNG in crafting and Corrupted Nexus spawns, etc.) as well as some fundamental issues (skills being tied to weapon types, passive tree being too cookie cutter and locking you into having to play specific skills and playstyles) but maybe until full release we might get there.

This should also once and for all silence the blind fanboys that thought 0.2.0 was great and nobody had a problem and every report was fake or instigated by streamers, whatever. The game had and still has SERIOUS flaws for any ARPG that needed to be addressed and they are improved now step by step.
