Incorrect. The math disagrees with you.

Without actually looking at my gear and skill tree, all you can do is ASSume

Incorrect. No assumptions needed. Diminishing returns due to additive scaling of %-based nodes don't care about your build and gear.

Bump, and again thank you to everyone doing their part and giving this thread a +1.

We, the majority have spoken about how we want exp loss to change. Either make it optional or straight up delete it. These kinds of mechanics don't belong in Softcore.

Incorrect. Softcore has ladders, too. That's what EXP loss is for. Reaching lvl 100 should be extremely hard/tedious, especially since it's entirely optional and provides almost no extra power over lvl 90.

It literally does give power in the form of 10 skill points lmao

And 99% of sc trade players don't care about the ladder there or don't even know it exists. Nice "ladder". Any competetiveness is completely fake, go play HC SSF if you care about competing as if this game is some e-sport.

Everyone knows that levels give skill points, lmao. But those skill points don't translate to much character power the way the skill tree and calculations work in this game.

So no, we are not going to destroy the only competitive aspect of the game just so you can get a few skill points without putting in effort.

Well then. Show it. Prove us all wrong.

There is no competitive anything in softcore. That is an illusion. 99% of players don't compete in this mystical "ladder" and neither do they care who is in the top 10. Go play HC SSF and race events if you care about it so much.

But let us, the majority of 99% of players actually have fun in the game by deleting exp loss/making it optional. It literally doesn't affect you at all. In fact if its made optional then people who want this fake ladder can leave it on and compete amongst eachother. Meanwhile anyone with exp loss disabled will not appear on ladder. This solution makes everyone happy.

Lvl100 will still be an achievement for people who play with exp loss on, just like how stuff is an achievement if you do it in SSF or HC. Making it optional is objectively the best solution where its a win/win/win for everyone. This is a fact.

Or... you could stop throwing a tantrum and accept that the game was literally designed so that levels beyond 90 are optional and meant to be very hard to achieve. It's a core game philosophy that most players are not meant to reach level 100 every league.

The only reason exp loss ruins your fun is because this fact doesn't compute in your head. You're literally making yourself miserable for no reason.

(All of this is even ignoring that you could just adjust your habits to be more careful as well as having Amelioration active at all times, if you really want to level up. I'm level 95 on both my Amazon and my Lich right now. I give zero fluffs if I die, which happens maybe 2-3 times per week doing T15/16s and pinnacles. I'm progressing just fine without any frustration.)

dont waste ur time, trolls are just trolls
-1.
Also this feels like a disingenuous "poll" given that you explicitly give instructions to one side but not the other. It's similar to Facebook posts that have a "poll" of likes vs comments, or liked vs angry reacts. Obviously one is gonna win. Like vent about your frustration all day long but calling it a "poll" just feels like trying to make your opinion fact.

Who said I was going after nodes that scaled from the nodes I already have? That's you assuming which nodes I'm after.

8-10 skill points can provide a good boost depending where I am on the tree and what I'm after

Bad design in a seasonal ARPG. Locking 10 skill points behind a huge time sink when the players that would spend that time don't find them useful anyways is just silly
