Or make scaling consistent. I think that is the real issue.

Also some clarity things. Item tiers are 1-9, so make maps 1-9, and scale from 0-100 from beginning of game to 9.

There should be increased difficulty, but not grind. Grind equates boredom.


Pretty much this. Grinding for hours and watching my XP bar barely move is boring. Watching the XP bar stagnate or go backwards if I die once every 10 maps just makes me stop playing.

And yes, those last 10 skill points matter, no matter how much other people insist they don't. Good for you, they don't matter for you. Enjoy not leveling if you don't care. If it doesn't matter to you then you have no dog in the fight

+1 if I wanted to use the same 4 skills to level I would play online battle Royale games. If I have to use specific skills to level and not die bc getting the proper gear for end game is bullshit while you try to level at the same time. Recombinators and skills need more balance and rework before more paid features come to the game
