Streamers who are in hideout 24/7

I am sorry this is way above your head and makes no sense to you. Last league during standard I was pulling 5-10k exalts an hour just flipping vaal orbs buying 660 for 100 ex and reselling 330 for 100 ex. I clearly told you how to do it.

I don't know friend, seems a little fishy to get this much assets by just crafting (gambling). You are more likely to lose than to profit with the current system. Really reeks of rmt to me.

I don't think he RMTs but I think he gets help from people at the start to start out. I've watched his 20+ hour streams of him crafting quads of stuff at a time and flipping it. He'd also get crap jewels and chaos them from 1-20 times and sell the jewel for multiple divs. Rinse and repeat. Dude just gets really lucky and knows the markets. Also worth noting he has tens of thousands of hours in POE1.

You can watch his stream. That guy is hardcore full time crafting and trading. Has been doing it in POE1 and POE2 for years. The saying is that it takes 10,000 hours to master a skill. He has put in way more than 10,000 hours into POE1 and POE2 crafting/trading. He attempts to craft literally the best items in the game. That is his thing. He is crafting and trading taken to the extreme. Crafting is profitable, it does produce an item that is worth more than the resources put into the crafting, if you are good at it.

He is just the head of a team though. He is basically doing the fractional thing where a team contribute to the crafting of an item then share in the profit. Items that can go for thousands of divine. He does not seem to be engaging in RMT as why would you need a team of investors if you were but very likely the people buying his stuff do engage in RMT. I can understand how a crafter/trader gets 2,000 divine to use to craft an item especially as part of a team but then the guy that buys it to actual use did not get the thousands of divine from running maps.

It is a weird side world where extreme crafters are supplying items to the extreme players. There are people that actual like crafting 50 hours a week and then rich people that are willing to spend thousands of dollars to buy the best items in the game. And then a RMT market that basically allows people to convert real cash to divine to facilitate the transactions. But this is the nature of a player driven economy. If you let players freely trade, it is pretty much impossible to keep them from making trades that are influenced by outside forces, like you give me real money I will trade you divine. Or services, you subscribe to my twitch and I will carry you through a boss fight. Or, you be my friend and I will give you stuff. Some of the outside influence is not strictly about money but then for others, especially in countries with low wages, it is a straight up job to make money. The real hard core RMT people are not streaming, they are clocking in everyday like a regular job just doing their work with no fanfare.

It is not all bad, the best trading experience is with bots maintained by the RMT world. Bots reply every time, immediately, and the entire trade is completed in under 30 seconds. Quick and machine efficient with no attempt to scam. Just regular low-level trading supported by GGG trade site. The current 'friction' in trading now is that it is not all bots. That often you get a human that waste your time or attempts to scam.

He (Belton) streams and has a Youtube channel. If you can't find the info you're looking for there, you can always ask him directly. (Try to) Have a nice day.
A simple bandaid fix to the market players would to disable the live search feature and put a limit on the number of searches in a 15 minute(?) time period.

Thoughts?

It is frustrating that the market gets manipulated by a few, which in turn short pays sellers and over charges buyers

Great explanation, few corrections though, its not crafting, the current system is not crafting, its all gambling. And mastering a skill? really? really John?

Replace crafting with gambling, and you're right on the money. And what does tens of thousands of hours in poe1 got to do with this?
Stop mentioning the streamer name, it was just an example, you people are making it like its a witch hunt to a single streamer.

But no, its still not possible to amass the amount of fortune these "streamers/gamblers" have even if they have people helping them or they are so lucky at flipping, in the amount of time they have done it.

Since you're the expert, what is the amount of fortune someone should be able to make through flipping items in that time period?
"Beidat honored the pact, though Mancy wouldn't take off Doryani’s prototype."
So many naive players in this thread that really don't understand what is possible. You are missing the main point that it takes money to make money (currency in game in both cases) You cant keep pace so you blame RMT and streamers.

I dont play anywhere near as much as these players, but im fully kitted out and insanely well geared because i thought ahead.

I rushed to endgame when league started and instantly recognised that stun was going to be a problem. So i bought every single Max ES% and Stun threshold ES% Sapphire i could get my hands on. Everything i got i sold to vendor for gold, every level up i checked every vendor and bought rarity gear / spears / lightning gear from the vendor, hit some with ex, sold some as they were. You only had to check poe2 ninja or mobalytics to see what the meta was evolving into. I sold every single drop , maps, splinters, emotions, everything as soon as it dropped to keep buying the cheap stuff that would be expensive.

What waas liquid, I rolled it all into Chaos when Chaos was 1:1-1:1.25 Ex.

Waited a few days, rolled it back and bought up all the cheap ex gear that was flooding market. Bought all the cheap gear that had massive potential and slammed it. Filled inventory with cheap whittlings and sinisters.

Ended up crafting 3100+ Eva bodys, 2k+ mixed ES / Eva bodys. Sold all the amazing spears and rings had accumulated as people dumped them cheap, turned 1d items into 40d items with a 3d investment.

Then everyone was moaning hopw hard Sekhemas was, most weren't farming it. Jewels / Spectrums / Timelost weren't floodiung the market because everyone was in chaos ez mode.

Spectrums were going 2-10d each. Timelost dropping as they were, couple of chaos, maybe a divine or 2, boom 10-20d a sell.

Still selling stuff i accumulated start of league, not because it wont sell, but because its listed so high and still selling.

And this is the knowledge part, putting in the time at start and getting ahead to stay ahead.

It aint rocket science, it aint RMT, its just how these games work so if you spent less time complaining on forums and more time in game learning or adapting, you wouldn't be on forums. But if you start late, if you are forever chasing a smaall fortune, you will never have the money to get ahead.

With the recombinator its even easier. Get ahead, buy all the cheap 4 mod gear with top tier rolls. Buy 10, fracture them till you get top mods locked in, buy other cheap gear aand recomb it. Boom. Sell it for 30-300% of your investment.

Moaners call it gambling, but moaners cant identify the gear that will work, or recognise what to buy and roll for a higher probability of success.
