It is more reasonable to think that supporter packs is in support of the league you just started playing not all future leagues.

You can spin it however you want to fit your narrative but it's not a kickstarter with promises of "we'll do this if we reach 200k". It specifically says what you get for your "support" and you get it. So unless you didn't get something that was stated in the description of the pack, you got what you payed for and it's up to GGG to spend that money how they want: raise wages, to develop something to please you, try creating something else etc.

The Path of Exile II Act 2 reveal was posted on 08.04.2021. GGG knew that PoE II was going to be a separate game for TWO YEARS, and neglected to tell the players. I'd say we have plenty of cause to be salty about what amounted to a bait and switch!
