Nothing can save 0.2 update anymore

The best option, in my opinion right now is to tell to people witha post that they will do not change anymore content in poe 2, they should only fix bug and let the dev work on poe 1.
Also they should litteraly rework the early of this game, removing completly the eng game and focus on story, classes, and craft system.
We need a totally New endgame with unique mechanics only relatable to poe 2 also as crafting (rework the rune system and add crafting bench)

troll is comparing active players after 26 days of the league on poe 2
and active players in poe 1 like 9 months after the league.. . 9 months from now with no update i doubt there will be anyone playing poe 2..

0.2 peak = 238.8k players
26 days later peak is 55k players.

poe 1 3.25 league peak = 229k

poe 1 3.25 peak after 28 days = 96.6k players.

on top of that .. . poe 2 includes the CN players
while on poe 1 they have their own client

so yes.. . poe 2 has half the players of poe 1 . and i expect this to go down to 1/4 with upcoming patches..

and yes comparing active players after 26 days to active players 9-10 months is a TROLL

check poe 1 active players 26 days after release of last league check poe 2 active players 26 days after release which is now. . and you can see that poe 2 has less than half its not my problem that you dont even know how to look at data

I'm checking. So 5k > 55k 24 hours and 4k > 35k last 10 minutes and 5k > 91k average last 30 days is your math?

Checking your post in another thread is why my point stands that GGG should ignore player feedback, look at the raw data and what will be, will be. You say that the drops are bad, admit that after 0.2g there will be more and better drops and instead of being happy with a step in the right direction you continue to shit on GGG saying it's still bad. Since there's no way to please people like you, there's no point in even trying. Thus my point stands.
Dude... read what he wrote...

He is talking about "PoE2 0.2" in the first 26 days and "PoE1 3.25" in the first 26 days, and there the numbers look different.

PoE2 0.2
Peak 245k and after 26 days 62k.
That's only 25% peak remaining. Even worse if you look at the entire first month - peak 245k peak and at the end of the month 55k peak, thus 22% remaining.

actually numbers are even more in our favor.. .28 days later at 19th aug poe 1 still had 96.6k peak.. this guy need to redo school

PoE1 3.25
Peak 229k and after 26 days 88k.
That's 38% still remaining, and with a less crazy downward trend than PoE2.

Hell, even compare 0.2 to 0.1.
Patch 0.2 lost in 4 weeks the same amount of ppl (percentage-wise) as patch 0.1 in 3 months...

Ok, i see where i misunderstood what he meant. Thanks for clearing it up. But having admitted my mistake there, i have to say that's a weird way of grasping for some kind of straws. Not to mention it's kind of dishonest if you dig a little deeper into the meat and potatoes of the "leagues"you're comparing. But even ignoring that his initial statement was POE 1 has twice as many players as POE2 which is factually incorrect.

Looking content wise it's perfectly understandable why 0.2 is losing players quicker than 0.1 did. So i find it weird to use as a doom and gloom.

The decline is based on content? Nah dude...

PoE2 0.1 avg month 1 - 304k
PoE2 0.2 avg month 1 - 92k
That's 70% off players not checking out PoE2 0.2 because they weren't interested enough in such a "nerf nuke" patch.

PoE2 0.2 peak start - 245k
PoE2 0.2 peak now - 60k
That's 76% leaving in 4 weeks because the patch is not good, period.

And PoE1 probably has more players than PoE2.
Sure, the peak of the last league was only 229k compared to the 245k PoE2 0.2 has, BUT PoE1 does not include Chinese players as PoE2 does...

PoE1 grew from year to year, from league to league, while PoE2 was able to drop from a record high down to "Lake of Kalandra" in 5 months... good job.

Can you do an analysis of forum posts feedback, % of posts being negative/positive?

I wonder.
`Spent 2 mirrors on my build, but I'm only Level 98.` LOL
`From just quick sweep of your characters, toxic rain, golems .. sure, non meta... sure.` LOL
`What are divs?`

Not really. If I were to try to count the positive and negative threads to get a reliable dataset, I would face a major problem - moving threads.
For example, if I am on page 3 counting, but someone comments in a thread on page >3, the thread moves to page 1 and thus, does not get counted by me yadda yadda.
On top, ppl who made multiple threads with basically the same "PoE2 bad/good" stuff because "being loud = being right" would make the data in the first place not really reliable.

The only thing I can provide is my personal view, I've read many posts from both sides, and could draw a conclusion from that, but... won't change shit anyway.

Or maybe 35% out of the 70% wanted druid and didn't come back because he was not in it? Maybe the other 35% wanted their paladin and didn't come back because of that? Or maybe the whole 70% wanted some more meat at their end game and didn't come back because of it being the same? And maybe 76% that left after coming back might have stayed in spite of the nerfs if they had more stuff to do rather than doing the same things they were in 0.1? At the end of the day, i don't know, you don't know but my love for POE 1 and hate for POE 2 or vise versa won't make me pretend as if i do.

Also, i want to get one thing out since your replies to me make it seem as if you believe i say that 0.2 was/ is good. I agree it's severely lacking. I'm just able to find the positives instead of hopping on the blind hate train and the backbone of what i want from this game is still there.

i think its much more simpler and why its not needed..

truth is if people wouldve been having fun they wouldnt quit.. mostly its people who are not having fun and still play due to hopes for better future and not to be left behind on knowledge.. . but when someone quit its usually that he doesnt have much fun anymore and its not worth his time..

so obv with most players quitting can say the opinion of the game or the narrative is negative..

when people playing and having fun they might still have negative feedback about specific stuff they want to see changed.. ..

the sentiment of poe 2 is negative because alot of people expected a game that is very fun and while it is still fun for some people .. . they are clearly the minority and the vast majority of players could not find the game to be fun enough.. they feel disappointed ..
