The Vision is TRASH.
Last Epoch is way too easy.
I find this game is too easy as well in its current state because of how many items drop, unlimited dodge roll, and that the campaign is too forgiving so that no matter what you've face-rolled on the way to the end game, you have so many items to choose from by then that you'll have no issues making something work. I also think the number of map tiers should be halved so that each one is actually noticeable. If they want this game to have a lasting following, it needs to be challenging. If it isn't challenging then it may as well be vampire survivors. All of that being said, I do think that leveling should be faster. I also think that just cranking up dials instead of adding movesets, as well as the over reliance on one-shot mechanics, are copouts. I love the game, but there should be enough item scarcity and occasional lack of synergy so that you are forced to create something interesting. |

" I feel so represented by this post. The visions amazing and 0.2 is better than 0.1. The game needs work but that’s obvious since it’s in early access. People really here shouting they lost all hope after the FIRST patch of early access. |

" Yeah, all of that will lead to a dead game. Making it more """challenging""" would only make even more players quit lol Like just imagine if they put a CD on dodge roll, it would be so over. And LE is not "too easy", it just doesn't make you suffer for 60 hours through a campaign that's supposed to be a tutorial. The real endgame begins whenever you get to higher corruptions, that's like saying t1 maps are "too easy". It's an actually good, fun game with good QOL that makes sense and not plagued by outdated designs and "The Vision". It respects your time, it lets you experiment with builds freely, it doesn't try to make you play "how the devs intended" lmao And imagine, it has a real crafting system. You can self-farm stuff and play while completely ignoring trading. What a crazy concept. People just want a fun game with loot, and PoE 2 right now is not that. Like the fact that PoE still has things like exp loss on death, and lacks basic things like an auto-sort button in the inventory, while also having an annoyingly small inventory space at the same time so it forces players to play tetris with their items is just embarassing. |

I dont understand how people expect them to make the levelling faster.. The levelling coincides with the campaign and map levels. It's a very consistent pace of XP gain from lvl 5 all the way to ~lvl 82. Maybe its just years of playing games with punishing XP curves, like OSRS, but POE2 feels fast as hell to me.

" poe2 has a very smooth leveling curve but the campaign itself is too long, to the point that the challenge recedes at some point in act 3 because monster levels get trivial If people can race ahead of the monster level it will allow the faster players to pull ahead and maintain challenge while the slower ones can clear every corner and continue to level at their own pace Last edited by Strangehill#1736 on Apr 23, 2025, 5:43:02 AM

" I don't find A3 excessively long. I enjoy playing the game, and the campaign is part of the game - it's just more opportunity to play, find some drops, gain some levels. Theres great bosses and content in Act III. Some people view endgame as something that is owed to them and not something to work towards and I don't understand this perspective. I think when all 6 acts are in the game people will not be so bothered by A3. I also think some of the zones are actually worse now that the redditors and streamers have had their say, which is kind of funny. The drowned city takes me a lot more time to get through now than it used to! Learn to love the grind |

" Open your profile so we can see how much you've grinded. It is getting perplexing how many of the game's defenders have private profiles. |

" Point is, the challenge dissipates into nothing by the time you get through act 3 into cruel So people who actually wanted this game to be challenging spend the time from levels ~30 to ~65 waiting for the endgame to happen because the campaign is doing nothing for them It's not about the map size or layout per se, it's about the inability for the monsters to scale to the challenge when the maps are super long and increase by +1 for the next huge map |

" Yep, it's so common lol Campaign is only a "part of the game" your first run through. Every next time its a mandatory chore you need to do before reaching the real game:endgame. Which is why arpgs don't aim to have a 72 hour campaign slogfest, because people will get burned out fast. I literally would not care what the campaign is, what quests it has, none of it. I wouldn't care if every zone was just a straight line with an objective of "kill these monsters". It is completely meaningless to me after the first time doing it, and no matter how "interesting" it may be I will always zone out and just go through the motions while doing it. Cus its booooooriiiiing. |

" I dont even know how to do that. I thought it was open. Should judge my opinion instead of my character. I don't have time or desire to grind POE2 with things IRL picking up, and as I've said other places I don't feel that the current iteration of POE2 is worth investing myself in. It doesn't mean the vision is bad, but the end game, builds, and itemization suck right now and it feels difficult to find any goals worth pursuing |
