Are you telling people they can't leave the reviews on the game based on what they think?
Of course not, man. I do think it's unethical to leave a negative review on a game which refers to a version of the game you personally did not play, but I'm not going to tell people they can't do that.
There's plenty of evidence to support the fact that PoE1 players review-bombed PoE2 in retaliation for GGG's decision to divert resources to the project. Most notably a) you could just click through in the early days of the patch and see that ~50%+ of the reviews were coming from accounts that had no recent play ( https://i.imgur.com/epTckYm.png), and b) if you read the content of those reviews, they quickly start to read like copy pasta all making reference to the same "problems" using similar or often identical vocabulary.
Again, I'm not telling anyone what to do - if PoE1 players want to protest GGG's decisions this way, that's fine. But, I'm certainly not going to take any of those reviews or anyone who uses them as evidence of PoE2's poor quality seriously.

So you guys are complaining about the game, because you can't progress fast enough in order to farm currency to trade? You make it seem the game is trash and spread your toxicity through the whole community, support review bombers and streamers who sold their souls to LE in hopes you get the devs to make the game easier for you so you can farm more gear to trade more efficiently?
Is that the case?
Taking a brief moment to read through the posts would show that to be a strawman. There is no conspiracy between reviewers, redditors, forum posts, streamers, YouTube channels, and the many other sources... but when they all have similar issues with the direction of the game, that's a problem!
The main issues people have is the lack of choice when it comes to skills, classes, and builds in general. Loot is absolutely a point of contention for many, and some of the death penalties are considered undesirable.
Back in PoE 1 Chris Wilson was displeased with the fast action-packed style arpg that many had fallen in love with, he was wise enough to know that fighting against the tide of player expectations and desires would kill the game.
So he created Ruthless, a version of the game that more closely aligned with his vision... very very few people played it.
Now in PoE 2 the chosen direction is in direct confrontation to the majority of players desires and expectations, as shown by the massive drop in daily peak active players (down from 280k to a mere 50k)
As Chris foresaw, the backlash is significant.
PoE 2 adopts many of the systems and direction of Ruthless, which as mentioned, very few people played.
Those who voice concerns here and on the wider Internet do so out of passion and love for the franchise, no one wants the game to fail (except perhaps the extreme minority who try to sweep the voice of the people under the rug)
No, people voice their concerns so that the devs can course correct and make the changes required for PoE 2's numbers to bounce back, to fulfil the potential we all see in the game, and to realize the vision we all hope for.
argumentum ad populum (plural argumenta ad populum)
(rhetoric) A fallacious argument that concludes a proposition to be true because many or all people believe it; it alleges that “if many believe so, it is so”.

Indeed, when talking about popular opinion argumentum ad populum is kind of the whole point. Would you prefer a ghost town of a game where there is no one to party with and no one to trade with? or a live and vibrant community with hundreds of thousands of active players?

all im seeing is too people who love the game but not enough to actually play it on a forum post thats about the "vast minority" that cant bring themselves to play it right now patting each other on the back, with amazing statements like bro does not understand data as defense to things they cannot cope with honestly that is all. clocking out of this shizzfest.

Note there is no data analysis, just presenting the bare facts.
I'm so embarrassed for you right now.
Now please move along and stop stalking me, harassing me, and spreading misinformation.

Argumentum ad populum fits to this case as it doesn't matter what the popular opinion is, it doesn't mean that it is the correct opinion, nor that the devs should take it as a lead for future patches.
Most often than not, as history shows, the popular opinion is the wrong opinion.

I'd rather have 50 hours of fun in LE getting items and beating bosses, than 500 hours of slog in POE2 painfully trying to level and gear up.
