Before POE2 was released everyone was dunking on D4 for being too easy

No once you overcome the initial challenge in the game the game becomes easy for you as you overcame something.
Doesn't mean the game wasn't challenging before you had 1k hours in it.
" I'm clearing screens on t16/17 tier maps with bone shatter as warrior. The lack of build diversity only exists in your mind. Theres plenty of fun builds to play
" And i clear screens on t16 with a single mace strike tap on warrior. Now show me that 4th ascendancy trial where you melee the tornado bird or a pinnacle boss. ___

I think it's just a lot of knee-jerk reaction. Folks insist it isn't Dark Souls but GGG is the one that has the final say on what it's supposed to be and if it doesn't jive with their contrived expectations, they scream about it online. I for one welcome the vision.

The game isn't hard, it's tedious, boring, unrewarding, and directly punishes you for doing anything outside the box or creative when it comes to building your character.

Killing the tornado boss is pretty easy with melee tbh. It's not too hard once you learn the boss. I do think the tornado bird needed to be nerfed but right now he is in a good place.

" I'm having fun playing my own build I made. If the game isn't hard then it wouldn't punish you. You could beat all content without any trouble at all. Also if you think the game is boring it might be best to put it down and go play something else instead of trying to change the game hundreds of thousands of people enjoy.
" The game isn't "hard" because the concept "hard" is different for everyone. Just like "fun" concept. What is "fun" for me, is not "fun" for you. So all these debates about "fun" "hard" "easy" "slog" "fast" "slow" etc are completely useless. But as for "balance" - this is smth we can talk about indeed. But thing is - the game will never be balanced with such an enourmous ammount of variables literally everywhere. |

If you make the game too hard, then you'll lose in player retention when more casual players leave.
The reason why you're seeing countless threads and countless arguments for why the game is too hard is because they are the majority. Most people agree that the game is too hard. Also, OP, if you're playing Smith Boneshatter that puts you up there playing one of the top 10 meta builds right now. Hell, there's a guide on maxroll.gg right now I bet you used. I bet if you tried something out of your comfort zone, something new, something that maybe isn't so meta, something you came up with yourself, you'd change your tune real fast and see what we all see. On top of this, saying one of the tankiest, easiest to play builds is 'off meta' and that you should be struggling because that's what you chose, just saying you are clearing juiced top tier maps, probably means you aren't part of the group of players that are actually struggling. It's self-evident. |
