The game is in a good state actually
My question to OP is: What are you smoking?

I globaly agree everything written in this post.
I just want to add some ideas for devs : Campaign : Like the pace of the campaign but I feel act 1-2-3 cruel are easier than end of normal. I really hope final at 4-5-6 would follow the difficulty curve of previous acts, with a final boss really hard to beat. About the difficulty, some players complain about it, specially the end boss of act 2 : Jamanra. I realize some players dont have a correct weapon at the moment of the game. Ideas : - at the end of act 1 for example, having a rare weapon (with 3 or 4 affixes max) to smooth out difficulty of act 2. This weapon would be a reward from what you are carrying as weapon in the moment of the reward. - be sure to have more chances to loot some rare from boss of weapons/armor that you can actually carry. It happens too often imo, that you got as reward, a weapon/armor that you cant even carry and its pretty frustrating. For me, loots from what you carry in the moment you kill the boss/mobs should be preponderant from other loots. Mapping : Agreed, greatly improved from 0.1. I think we just need more diversity about objectives in end game. Or make it clearer. Other issue imo : we have too often have the same type of maps close from each other. Im sure it would be fix at release with more type of maps available. League mechanics : Essences : okay mechanic, just hard to use cause we lack base items to craft around it. Idea : having a special chest in our hideout, as a "loot trash" storage, where we can find only white items from previous map. Could be useful to help players crafting around with transmutation, essences,... Rogue exiles : I agree it feels too weak but its pretty cool to encounter them. Too hard to see them when there is too many ennemies. Idea : having a pool HP for rogue, depending on rarity of loots he carry. Example in end game : 50k hp for each blue item, 200k hp for each rare item, 500k hp for each unique item. Like that, harder fight = better rewards. Expeditions : really like this one. Pretty cool, good rewards, and really like objectives around it with NPC in our base. Really easy to understand what we have to do. Breach and Delirium : I feel rewards weak at the beginning then okay. I have an issue with the 2 mechanics : its really hard to understand what we have to do about it !!! No objectives as expeditions have, no "tutorial" to explain mechanic as ritual have during campaign and a QoL lacking with the way to use catalyst and distilled. We need a tutorial and a proper way to introduce this 2 mechanics. Other mechanics are fine for me QoL : 2 main things are lacking for me in the game : - having salvaging and disenchanting in the same place. Its pretty confusing right now to have disenchanting with a NPC and salvaging in a bench when both mechanics are pretty similar... - way to use catalyst and specially distilled is really confusing. Im using the reforged bench to combine items together but for distilled, I have to right click on it ??? Why not using the same way for everything that combine things together ??? Overall I have a lot of fun playing the game. Just hope game would stay in the difficulty curve of early game all along for release ;-) Last edited by Legoury#0138 on Apr 19, 2025, 7:14:35 AM

Imroved is not good. It is indeed improved at some ascpects. But a lot of things are in very bad state.
Campaign needs more crafting. Crafting needs to be less gamle. Endgame needs more content. Loot needs to be better. Nerfs should not kill builds. |

" Idk what to tell you. It didn't seem like an issue to me and yeah I get that my experience isn't representative of the whole playerbase. But I also used my currency sparingly. I think my sorc used the same boots from lvl 10 to maps and I am honestly kinda ok with that. The only actual thing I used my currency on was weapons. " For me? Towers. Towers were a massive pain in 0.1 for me. Now I can clear one and get three tablets in. Before I had to path to one, then to the other one, then another one if it was in range, then clear the zones that were still uncleared. It was too much work for the amount of maps you used tablets for. Also me thinking unique maps and citadels being rare is most likely a consequence of not having to travel to tower dense areas like in 0.1. " It's different to PoE 1. Invitations and Olroths are much more common than in 0.1. Breach is slower initially and simulacrum is about the same iirc. It's not hard to get the points you need right now. And they want you to fight the bosses. They don't want the bosses to be optional. " I picked a merciless mace with reduced attributes from the ground yesterday. This is almost the same as alt spamming for it. Essence of torment and I hit a mid tier flat phys. I then slammed an exalt. Low tier flat fire. Two whittlings later I had hybrid phys. I then fractured and hit the attributes. Then I did two rounds of double annul suffix and slamming exalts until I hit attack speed. Then I spent like 6 divines to get the stats I was happy with. There was a lot of luck in this process. But there were hundreds of maces before that were reforged, recomboed and greater essenced into disenchanted. It just takes longer to get what you want. " Loot feels fine for me. I am however not trying to mindlessly farm divines so I guess the nerfs didn't impact me that much? I get a couple exalts and maybe some other currency per map with minimal juice and 76% rarity on gear. I don't ever feel like I need more currency to do what I want to do. " If I felt personally offended any time I felt like the money I gave to any gaming company was misused I would never play any game for the rest of my life. I don't really know what else to say here. " Interesting that you conveniently kept aside the fact that PoE2 started with a 578,569 peak according to steamcharts, and that first major update with a new class etc, barely peaked at 250k. |

"it didn't seem like an issue to me" is such a Johnathon reply, as if your own subjective experience is enough to tell whether or not something is a problem. Theres a whole host of people saying it WAS a problem for them.. Are they all lying???

"That's a massive problem. Using your boots from lvl 10 to maps is horrible, especially in an ARPG. And it's not like only new ppl without PoE experience and/or lack of understanding don't get enough currency or ways to get item upgrades. Even PoE veterans report this issue. That's abnormal. "That you can get "keys" or whatever faster than it was in 0.1 changes not the fact that the progression is backwards. "Ok... that's endgame "crafting" you only can do with a lot of luck and/or currency. What is with crafting from the early levels until you have access to omens? "Yes. Called "Slot Machine". "That many companies mislead their players does not make it justifiable for GGG to do the same. Haven't you brought up "Baldur's Gate 3"? They told what they wanted to do, and they did it... well... even more than promised. Telling your community for years that "PoE2 will fix it (PoE1)", thus they don't fix it over that time - only to end up with a "Well, we changed our mind, we won't fix it - thanks for your money - deal with it." is not the right thing to do. And yes. You can say "That's what companies do", but then I would say "Only because ppl let them get away with it". [Removed by Support]

Yea, game is really good.
There are still several issues in the game. Namely lack of skill slots, how delirium looks/sounds and length of campaign. Maybe they could add difficulty selection for the LE/D4 players who want the game to be really easy. |

namely loot and build diversity
another pandemic is people who are still relatively new saying that everything is A-OK and they love the difficulty cause they haven't done like 300 maps yet and realized how old it gets to try and grind for items that aren't worth anything with mechanics that are tedious and repetative |

" It's like... Imagine someone has only eaten fast food their entire life, and then finds this new restaurant. There, the food is way better. Not only how it looks, but how it tastes. From their perspective, THIS is the actual good stuff. But then you have ppl who have a bit more culinary insight. Ask them, and they tell you that this restaurant isn't bad, especially compared to fast food, BUT... it can get way better. And what's the real "shit"? Lying sick in bed, getting a call from your granny who immediately knows that you are not well. And against your resistance, because you don't want to bother her, she insists on bringing you something around. Shortly after, she delivers you a home-cooked chicken broth. In that single dish are decades of experience and so much love, you could cure cancer... THAT'S the real shit. It warms your body and your heart. Or in other words; it's hard to describe colours to someone blind. [Removed by Support]
