Path of Exile 2 - Upcoming Changes

*Arc now does a lightning explosion when it hits a shocked enemy but can no longer shock. It does not consume the shock.*

This one worries me. Arc is the only lightning skill I liked and used it with chain support as a spammable. With Arc no longer able to shock , cast on shock becomes unusable and I'll never see the explosion as the targets will never be shocked.

None of the other lightning skills I tried feel worth using. I didn't like sparks before they nerfed it much less after. It just seems to throw random particles around. Sometimes they hit things, sometimes they don't, not fun to use.

Orb of storms requires you stand in it. You are made of paper and are constantly chased by npcs that run 5x faster than you. Meaning you are dodge rolling and kiting , making standing still impossible. So not fun to use. It would be better if it just attached to you. Mana tempest has the same problem.

Ball lightning does awful damage. The high shock chance looks good until you understand that ailments are applied by how much damage you do. So basically this doesn't have any better chance to shock than other skills do. Around the same shock chance just with a lot less damage done.

I really wish you'd just put that change on a unique rather than change the skill.

100% I love arc, no one asked for this change. If they just gave it the explosions with some gimmick to it, cool, but not taking away its shock like wtf?! its a wash then you made the skill worse now if you want to use it you'll have do more set ups and gimmicks to have a reliable shock. No one wants to do that. That is this game's biggest issue, i dont want to do 1-3 extra things to make my main skill feel good.

In video games, "exploiting" refers to players intentionally using bugs, glitches, or unintended game mechanics to gain an unfair advantage or bypass intended gameplay, which is generally considered cheating by the gaming community.
Here's a more detailed explanation:
Definition:
Exploiting involves taking advantage of flaws or unintended features in a game to achieve outcomes or actions that were not intended by the developers.
Examples:
Using a bug to duplicate items or gain unlimited resources.
Using a glitch to teleport to inaccessible areas or become invincible.
Manipulating game mechanics in an unintended way to make the game easier or gain an advantage.
Why it's considered cheating:
Exploits undermine the fairness and balance of the game, potentially ruining the experience for other players and diminishing the challenge for the exploiter.
Contrast with "glitches":
While "glitches" are often used to describe bugs or unexpected occurrences in a game, "exploiting" specifically refers to the intentional use of those glitches or bugs to gain an advantage.

Ai still has it's head on straight at least. Yall need to get a grip. Unban them already. Shit is pretty disgusting. Just sweep it under the rug and call it a day.

You walk into a Casino and find a way to rig a slots machine so that you get a discount each time you play. Somebody watches you do this and proceeds to do the same on another machine.
You get caught.
Did you cheat?

No its more like the powerball put the winning numbers listed at the cash register. Then we arrested everyone who used them and ignore the fact powerball was the one who was the dumbass.

So you didn't know those were the winning numbers after winning several times?
Pleeease
i'm not buying this, these changes are not good enough.

the players gave their feedback already, it was dismissed (first hand), everyone laughed and smiled, nothing has changed.

The only feedback that is being dismissed is from players who are screaming about the game not being PoE1. Of course that'll be dismissed.

If you have helpful feedback that aligns with GGG's intent for the game then they are listening, and acting way quicker than I expected. But many people on reddit and other places are not giving feedback, they're raging like babies about the game not being what they personally want.
Good changes!
Thanks for the work guys!
Little by time we will find a fine balance, dont mind all the haters, impossible to make everyone happy. There are plenty of people enjoying the game, they just busy playing it, rather than babyrage here and there.

For Sorceress perspective nothing changed here, weak as hell with nearly no defence, dmg nerfed to the ground, mana stacking nerfed to the ground, archmage nerfed to the ground, feel free to visit sorceress build sub forum - there is no single playable build currently, on top of that jewels slots took so much power from sorceress to. Sad, cause i see how much content been added to the game, still due to nerf fest no one will be able to check them.
Life is too short for soft options.

Good steps in the right direction. Showing rares is practically required given that is the current (and hopefully very, very temporary) way to clear maps. May end up trying .2 with a handful more posts like this.

Still need fast mobs, underperforming skill damage (most of them), and lack of loot/crafting currency addressed. I'm not slogging through the campaign just to have a miserable time like everyone else without some developer feedback here. Lightning Spear looks good, but from the sound of it, they might nerf it instead of bringing anything else up to par.
(2-3-2019) Buff underused skills (3.23?!)+ selfcast, stop nerfing defense, build in threshold jewels (3.23?!), implement D3-style looting, add death log + MTX preview, actually rework flasks, stop balancing around the .01%, unnerf Harvest, ADD NEW WAYS TO LEVEL, finally implement Loot 2.0

You must not have caught the first hour of the Ziz interview, during which Jonathan actively dismissed every single piece of feedback about the league.

I just hope that you don't get too complacent with the cry babies. I wanna play a real challenging game but now you're making it too easy. Also you shouldn't be afraid to nerf stuff that is obviously too ovetuned like lightning spear right now. 'One button delete everything' builds should have no space in a game like PoE2.
