Dawn of the Hunt - What We’re Working On

3.26 when?
Act 3 maps feel unnecessarily large, which makes the act drag and less enjoyable. It’s my least favorite part of the game solely because of how oversized the areas are.
I would really like an explanation as to why the Huntress released with an entire suite of bleed skills, including a brand new herald just for causing bloody explosions...

But the dedicated BLOOD MAGE Witch Ascendency has ZERO bleed fantasy.

- No bloody skills, only a couple of bright teal bone skills which make no sense.

- Next to no spell physical sources, spell critical sources or bleed chance for spells.

- Why haven't you guys even added the base wand type with Exsanguinate into the game yet? It's in the files; dataminers found it, and put it on the POE2 wiki and Path of Building. Not even that one wand could make it into the game with Blood Mage?

- Of all the supports you added... almost none of the new bleed supports work with spells. Only attacks. Can you get rid of that forced requirement? Herald of Blood should work with spells; all of the heralds should to be honest.

- Can Blood Mage get some kind of cool mechanics instead of just doing extra damage with criticals using spells? Maybe some blood orbs that orbit us and explode or shoot at enemies and are generated when we kill enemies with bleeding damage... Perhaps make Power Charges interact in some way?
"The other bit of feedback are players who don't want to enter melee range at all. While the primary role of the class is incentivising a ranged/melee hybrid playstyle, we do think we can improve on this type of gameplay somewhat while still incentivising using both types of attacks."

There isnt even a ranged bleed skill for spear. Do you people even play your own game?

Rake is also incredibly inconsistent in the dash speed and range. Sometimes I teleport, sometimes I rake and move 2cm.

But thanks to the team for doing your best to give us a good gaming experience. I still loved the game even if it's gone to shit.
I'm currently playing a Huntress (Amazon) and just entered Act 6. From my point of view, the mix of melee and ranged combat is a lot of fun — even though it feels a bit clunkier than it probably should.

My biggest issue is defense when going into melee. I haven't really specced into defense, mainly because I can’t go for block due to Dance with Death, which I need for decent damage. Evasion doesn’t feel that great either, since you often get one-shot in melee range if you get hit or fail to evade just once.

As a half-melee character, I feel like there’s some defensive layer missing. I don’t get that much Strength, so my life pool is much lower than I’m used to, and I really miss the good old life nodes from PoE 1. I appreciate that we don’t need to invest as many points into life anymore and can get a lot from other sources instead — but still, being able to invest into more life when you feel squishy would be great.

Another point: early gearing feels rough. It's kinda insane — I'm almost done with the campaign and still running around with magic rings because I barely found any rares. If I remember correctly, I only had like 1–2 rare rings the whole time. Even with gambling, I spent a lot of my gold on rings and got literally zero rares, which felt really bad and unrewarding — especially considering how expensive they are.

Spending gold on random items early on should be cheaper, and respeccing also needs to be a lot cheaper during the early game. I experimented a lot on my Huntress in the beginning to find something that felt playable, but I often had to choose between spending my gold on a random item that might help or respeccing 2–3 passive points — and that punishes early mistakes way too hard.

Also (probably a personal skill issue 😅), I find it really hard to dodge the Act 2/5 boss Sunder in his second phase. His slam direction follows you all the way until the cast finishes, so you need extremely good timing to dodge-roll it. It would be great if his direction locked in like 0.1–0.2 seconds before the cast ends.

Another issue with that fight: the sandstorms. They make it hard to see anything. Their duration is long, they take up a lot of screen space, and there's no transparency — which makes it really hard to read other attacks properly.

While there are definitely different opinions about PoE 2 — many players just wanted a newer version of PoE 1 — I personally like the direction it's taking. Something like Path of Soulslike, with more skill interaction in longer boss fights and fewer skills needed for clearing, feels fresh and engaging to me.

However, one thing that almost everyone seems to agree on is the lack of transparency from GGG ever since PoE 2 took the spotlight. Before that, things felt way more open and communicative. Now, that transparency is fading more and more — especially when it comes to PoE 1 updates.
Even Chris leaving GGG didn’t get any kind of farewell message, which felt super weird to me. He was basically the face of the company with his iconic lines — and then a month later, GGG just casually tells us like, “Oh, by the way, he left.”

I can’t see into your minds, GGG, but I hope you’ll learn from your mistakes and do better in the future.
3.26 when?
whatever
3.26 is scheduled for the day you find the right forum to deal with PoE issues, concerns, and questions, and then a bit longer.

Whole lotta noise about nothing. I had no problem levelling a huntress to the end of cruel using fangs of frost coupled with lightning spear, glacial lance, and explosive spear. Ohgram went down first try in about 6 or 7 minutes, Jamanra went down in about the same amount of time (one of my favourite bosses, by the way), Doryani killed me twice (not a big deal). I've maybe died around 12 times total, usually to stupid things like not paying enough attention to something.

You're doing great GGG, and the vitriol and hate I see people expressing is so wildly out of pocket. I know there are tweaks and adjustments to make and you'll make them, but I wish these "adults" were providing actual constructive feedback and not "your game bad go **** yourself".

I've been really enjoying the new class and having fun with the campaign, just wanted to send some positivity your way.

It's literally impossible, these keyboard warriors will never even begin to understand politeness.

I'm having so much fun in the patch as well, started out with the new tactician, it was pretty weird in the first act, but progression felt really smooth and cruel started to become maybe too easy.

I actually think the class is super fun , but the damage feels horrible imo.
But I'm thinking, budding spear throwing speeds will make her feel much better to play.
I ended up switching classes, I'll try huntress again after the new patch :)
Been having a great time with my chaos/curse litch though!
