Content Update 0.2.0 -- Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Hunt

read for 2 min and its a skip gl boyz xd
I like the grenade nerfs. Especially since the Crossbow is now getting 2H stats - which is a huge buff. also a lot of its other skills got buffed on top of that.

Great change all around for a weapon that was suppose to be methodical, instead of spammy.

I'm glad they are moving the game further away from POE 1

I left diablo 4 and never got into POE 1 because of that kind of gameplay, and I want to think when I play... I guess that comes from being into games like Nioh and other HC action Rpgs that require high attention and skill.

Heres hoping they adjust the power scaling on builds that combo vs builds that do not. Same with using the right type of skills depending each situation. I hope those get more distinguished.

That way, players who Run 8 or 9 actual skills have something to gain, vs players who focus only on combos, by having flexible versatility.

As for the "Less than" 3 button builds. I hope their max possible dmg is like 40k instead of the 50k, but simplicity, auto defenses and other things that require low thought and reactivity become their advantage.

Trade-offs like that would distinguish these types of builds more, and that would be really cool.

Looking forward to more self designed interactive play - that I can build myself. Thanks GGG!

Lmao you meant to say mashing 1 button repeatedly

And?

So what if I used a 5 button build?

Would the 10 button build players be upset because I used half as many buttons?

Would the 20 button players be upset with the 10 button players?

And for the record, I used 3 buttons.

If there is build such as spark or herald of frost which is a running simulator with 1 button that clears everything instantly, there is very little insensitive to run slower builds, because those OP builds will get currency 10x faster and will get ahead on economy and you will left behind, and the economy snowballs, so the gap only widens.
Of course in solo SSF you can run a fist hitting build for all I care, but most people play normal trading league where speed matters the most. That's why such builds hurt everyone.
And, in the first place, this is an EA, why would anyone expect GGG not to destroy obviously stupid builds? GGG openly say that they want DPS be up to 50k, boss fights to take at least 20-30sec, people hear them, support them (and thus their vision) by buying the packs, and then CRY when they are doing what they said they will do, just how funny is that.

I've been playing POE games for over a decade now.

I've never, not once, been in the top 10% of wealth in any league.

Hell, I'd be shocked if I was ever in the top 30%.

Yet I still had fun.

And I never once said "they should nerf that build that's better than mine"

Lastly, if GGG wants people to play a very specific way then they should just remove all the RPG elements, give us a generic character to play with and then they can make sure the game is played only as they want it played.

surely we undo the functionality changes to hexblast. only reason i wanted to log in was for hexblast lich. just make it do 10x less dmg i dont care.
Love all the work you're doing GGG, but the magnitude of these nerfs seem a bit ridiculous... It's like you've based them off the OP builds only a select few of the player base could attain, and now the majority have to struggle to make, already mediocre, builds work... nerfed Hexblast??

It just doesn't make it appealing to come back or play other classes when you know it's going to need a mandatory build guide from some streamer to be semi-decent.

I've played 940 hours since release, and love your work. Was hoping this would revitalise me just enough to come back for another few hundred hours... I suggest gauging the sentiment in the Global Chat, and that should give enough insight as to what the general consensus is around these nerfs.

But hey, I could be wrong and all the new uniques and support gems may be enough to compensate for all the nerfs... hopefully.
It's a pity it's all just nerfs.
Having a new character/league will cover this up - I guess the hope is – if you ruin all the current crazy/fun/survivable builds that'll force people into the new league.
They just plain up removed Grim Feast – this is just wow.
Didn't these guys say they wanted players to feel powerful?
To be expected I guess – it is early access (don’t forget that), and in 6 months none of this will be relevant anyway as we’ll be looking at 0.30 patch notes and a new character or whatever else comes with that.
One more story chapter would have been nice – a reason to play through the campaign again.
Might be better to just wait until version 1.0 is released with everything in it and start from there.
4/10

Dude, you've had people duping temporalis for 1.5 weeks and nothing has been done. If you want to be independent from the economy, play SSF. We don't want the same gameplay at launch and after 200 hours in the game, we want to bring out a strong and fast character. There will always be those who earn 100 times faster than the average player. So what now? Put a time limit on the game?

Are you really using the existence of duping in a brand new, not even game, but an EA as an argument for why it's ok to leave stupid easy fast and broken build with others?
I specifically WANT to be IN the economy, and there is no excuse to leave such builds as is, especially considering the whole purpose of EA is testing and balancing for the actual release.
>Put a time limit on the game?
How about, just balancing the game? Crazy right? Every game strives to balance, that means nerfing OP stuff, how hard of a concept is this? I've just wrote it above but GGG explicitly mentioned what's their goal/vision is - and it's not 50k dps builds to exist along side 100mil dps builds. And if you disagree with their much slower vision (which is totally ok btw), why did you even buy the game?
Legitimately terrible changes tbh.
LOTS OF NERFS.....
I REMEMBER WHEN BLIZZARD THOUGHT THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA WITH D4! HAHAHA
