I remember the first major patch to Diablo 4. It nerfed the fun. And convinced me to stop playing the game entirely.
The nerfs on this patch are giving me flashbacks to that. It feels like the goal was to nerf every major possible build that exists and force people to use the new class at the expense of every other class you had a build for.
And there doesn't appear to be any good to counter the bad. It isn't like they balanced the changes. They just nerfed as much as they could instead.

No GF? How exactly are mages supposed to mitigate damage now? It's not like they have evasion or armor.
No. Currently uninterested in even looking at the new content now. I don't even want to log into my characters after this patch. Even leveled up a witch so I could start lich right away. Not interested in that anymore, especially with all the minion and curse nerfs. All of my excitement for this patch is gone. I'd rather look elsewhere for how to spend some spare time than invest in the direction this game is now going (D4).
Too bad. So much potential until this sadistic patch killed it.
Go and play LE, man. Who F*** cares? After eight months they gives you 1 rework ascendancy, 1 faction and 1 mechanic and you come here to rant a game on an Early Access? Go to other games and dont botter here, mf.

I for one wanted the game to slow down and I welcome these nerfs. Many broken builds now also can't be done. This is exactly what early access is for.
I think this is a great patch. Thank you.
That could have been accomplished by you playing slower.
But instead now all of us are forced to play slower.
Some of us actually enjoy fast paced game play that requires quick thinking and reflexes.
Lmao you meant to say mashing 1 button repeatedly
And?
So what if I used a 5 button build?
Would the 10 button build players be upset because I used half as many buttons?
Would the 20 button players be upset with the 10 button players?
And for the record, I used 3 buttons.

That spark + eldritch battery + stormweaver tree nerf combo, with the jewel socket nerf on top, was the most childish and petty set of nerfs i've ever seen, it's as if a 10yo kid on a tantrum was randomly nerfing everything related to spark build, the eldritch battery nerf was enough to kill the build, now with the 2x mana cost the whole thing is completely untouchable.
Does the clown in charge of the "balancing" realize that the build is completely dead and that the only people who will experiencing it will be the wave of new players on 0.2? good luck with that player retention.
Speaking of childish/tantrum... ^^^
