Content Update 0.2.0 -- Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Hunt

Is that all? WHERE THE HELL ARE MY MTX THAT I BOUGHT. In December, they said 'Soon,' then 2-3 Months ago they said 'Soon' again. You are such fucking liars. 'Soon,' 'Soon.' And now you're releasing the only 4 damn armor sets? I'm already in talks with my lawyer

I love complaining about poe 2 to have people say ‘they’re two different games’ Yep and one of them is good and solved and the other is poe 2. Gotta love how curse activation is a thing and it got even worse!…like what?
rue is cat
This is frankly terrible... This was already a chore to play, now it will feel even worse??? Naaah... ef that.
Sometimes looking for trouble gets trouble to look for you.
Endgame was the easiest it has ever been ! How could anyone not see the nerfs / balance coming ?

just random thoughts on the notes before the full numbers

-great changes to internalist especially with the infernal flame balancing so it has much smoother gameplay loops and alot more potential for different builds.

-I get the demon form changes, but hopefully the flat value isnt too high since demonflame is the main way its allowed to compete since you arent allowed weapons.

-I wish raise zombie got some buffs to make it less clunky and a useable skill, right now it still seems like its useless because of the long cast time, slow movement speed even with buffs, slow attack speed, waste of a skill in boss fights, and low duration.

- Good buffs on unearth, main issue with that skill is that because it requires corpses and the only reliable way to have corpses in boss fights is sacrifice with persistent minions which werent really worth because of the trade off of killing your persistent minions for a short duration minion that will die soon. I wish you allowed casting contagion onto living scorpions from unearth to make them work a bit smoother with those builds.

- withering touch change is a really good change if the minimum is 100% where chaos dots can still apply a single stack. If it can go below 100% then I think its bad because chaos dots already struggle a lot with build diversity and this will restrict their potential more.

- the sceptre quality no longer adds spirit I think was a bad change, instead it should be quality to the sceptres gem and bonus innate spirit since spirit reservation

-kinda confused on the changes to incinerate and firestorm, the main reason they are not played much is because of their clunkyness to reward ratio is way off mechanically. If I am gonna use incinerate and stand there doing nothing else but incinerate while I channel it, it needs to payoff to warrant me not using other skills that would have much more impact with less movement penalty and casting restrictions. Similarly with firestorm the main reason people dont use it is because to optimally use it, it requires so much setup for almost no payoff with improved bolts its a waste of a skill even if your build already has perma ignites and the storm is stationary and not that big with the bolts usually just missing enemies it just feels disappointing.

-I was really sad about the way you removed self dmg barrier invocation, was a really fun and cool build path which was hyper restrictive already and could've been nerfed by a simple tweak like less energy if it comes from self damage, less regen on ES if using resonance, less meta energy capacity, etc. With this change if it will stay like that forever you should just remove the skill entirely.

Reasoning: Barrier invocation as a skill requires you to wait on damage to charge up that skill and then release it all at once. With self damage you could take control of when you took damage which allowed a really engaging gameplay loop that also punished you with death if you miscalculated.

However, with the nerfs you will need to take an large amount of damage before you can trigger considering its only damage from the enemies which also means you will have a really clunky time charging it without getting killed or overdamaged while also killing mobs, even if you are a super extreme ES stacker its still clunky.

Now BI is in the same boat as old infernal flame where your gameplay loop is mechanically clunky no matter what, because you have to have enemies stay alive long enough to damage you enough to make that skill worth 60 spirit. But in poe2 the goal is to kill them, so that requires you to sit there and let them hit you so you can control the damage taken, or kill them normally with your other skills and occasionally BI will get charged up if you make a mistake and get hit. but that seems like a huge waste of spirit especially since other ways to get spirit are nerfed like sceptre quality and oaksworn.

the notes were pretty good, i cant wait to play lich

incinerate is a buff it went from 50% less ignite duration to 25%. notes are just worded funny
This is exactly what POE needed. Welp to my Internalist build though

guess my way to play is make new char in std using 10x better legacy unqiues

no downside of having any less game content with better items tough choice lol

theres not gonna be any content difference on standard, dawn of the shitshow its all base game.

their half cooked league cant even be called that so they made it into a content update and reset economy.

Ill check the endgame in standard cause is the only thing im interested to interact with, if my 3 endgame characters dont work, ill sit the game until next update 4 month and launch MH instead.
3.26 waiting room. Please don't fuck it up. I'll give yall some advice: do the opposite of what you'd do in poe2.
Big sad.
Please, PLEASE ungut the Concoction skills by reverting the 5 flask charge cost. I rarely post on the forums, but I felt I had to say something, this is just way too much when considering the other changes that pertain to these skills.

Heck, revert the doubling of each respective concoction's ailment magnitude if you need, just please don't go through with the 5 flask charge cost. Ugh.
