I hate to say this but - It's boring.
" The campaign is not long, the maps are very long and tedious...You think you are done but no wait, you need to drain the water, then it shows you a temple, so you need to get some kind of device from there, so that you can place it somewere else...you think you are done ? No you get back to million eons ago and have to explore again some weird stuff that branch into other weird stuff.. I do not know how act4-5-6 are, but if they are as tedious as act2/3 yea it will be a problem. The rest is well same old stuff, run maps, beat some ubers get bored... The only actual thing that kept old poe1 going, was the fact that you could build in so many ways as a start, refining took a while but it wasn't necessary, and the crafting. I know people are afraid of crafting and think that it takes a freaking diploma to understand it, but it's not that...People are just hoarders and don't want to waste currency into a system that rewards high end decisions and risk taking. PoE2 has no crafting, hence after a while of hoarding exalts and divines after you managed to get 4-5 builds going it's just a waste of time to even play. Much like D4...There is no point in farming something if the only thing you can do is hit a button, and pray then repeat the process, even though you already demolish the content. What's the point ? At least crafting a mirror tier item, or getting some best in slot gear brought you vanity...But right now, corrupting ingenuity for a better outcome is just not my gig. Never invite Vorana, Last To Fall at a beer party.

" Me = nobody. It's okay if you personally don't care but you underestimate how many care about PoE streamers or streamers in general. You clearly missed the first day(s) when PoE 2 EA (but we know it a soft launch anyways) launched and Twitch had around 1 million viewers watching PoE 2 content through streamers. Also not a few started playing because of them since what they saw looked interesting for them. Like some sorts of a free preview. There where also tons of PiE 2 key giveaways done by them which brought new players in. Masterpiece of 3.16 lore
"A mysterious figure appears out of nowhere, trying to escape from something you can't see. She hands you a rusty-looking device called the Blood Crucible and urges you to implant it into your body." Only usable with Ethanol Flasks |

I don't mind the campaign. I have played through it four times now.
No guides, just wing it and try out different stuff. Skill and knowledge is more important than gear. Constantly leveling up and feeling progression. Plus it is satisfying to take out bosses pretty easily that I really struggled on the first play though. First two ascendancies are easy when you know what you are doing. I feel powerful. I would much prefer to play 6 different acts than repeating first three but that will come eventually. Then when I start having trouble in the mid maps, I buckle down and start really trying to optimize my build and gear. |

" completely different games with completely different audiences I'm playing an mmorpg where it takes like a year to farm a single endgame bracelet and nobody's complaining about it. if this shit was in a baby mode mmorpg like world of warcraft everyone would quit in 3 days "buff grenades"

different people have different reasons to play/not play a game.
i used to play POE endgame because i liked the idea of amassing stupid power and wealth over time and to play the game forever. currently the game is in EA. everything i earn is not "core". thus i only play EA with little commitment. the game is incomplete and not balanced. you can make an argument that the game is boring to YOU. but it would be wrong to assume it applies to everyone [Removed by Support]

" maybe not everyone has as much time to play computer games as you do........ |

" how could you UTTERLY miss the point? like how do you even play a game like path of exile when you can't understand such a basic and simple analogy? have you not wondered why I would, out of nowhere, give an example from an unrelated game I'm currently playing? are you chatgpt in disguise or something? it has nothing to do with having that much time to play a game anyway, because we're bottlenecked by the daily limit, and apparently thousands of people have enough time since it currently has more players than poe 2 not only that you missed my point entirely, your response is simply irrelevant and makes no f* sense. what are you on? Might be a wild idea but POE1 and POE2 are not "completely different games with completely different audiences"
they are ARPGs with alot of similarities and some differences. Thats like saying Wow classic and Wow retail are completely different games with different audiences. they arent, its very similar and they have the same bones, one is just more polished and the other has a bit more "headache" associated, sure different people gravitate but that doesnt mean the games are on opposite ends of the spectrum |

" Who asked |

" poe 2 didn't even lose any player when phrecia was launched and this alone shows that you're wrong. the number of people who play both poe 1 and poe 2 is extremely small, because they're entirely different games, made for different target audiences. that was the whole point behind the decision of separating poe 2 instead of releasing it as an expansion to poe 1 " that's like saying world of warcraft and runescape are similar games because they're both mmorpgs "buff grenades" - Buff Grenades (Buff-Grenades) Last edited by auspexa#1404 on Apr 2, 2025, 11:39:26 AM
