Noone is saying this.

PoE 2 was dead on arrival and had no reason to be made.

But since GGG is stubborn to a self-destructive fault, they insisted on trying to force us to like it, cutting all resources from PoE 1.

And PoE 1 is struggling because they keep focusing on a game mode (Leagues) that only the casuals enjoy; players that see what the shiny new stuff is for a week or two before quitting until next League.

They keep putting all their eggs in the wrong basket.

MAN it's cathartic seeing doomer posts like this just one day before the .2 announcement, which looks freakin' fanstastic. More content in this update then expected by far, and poe2's future is looking great.

But yea, lol @ 'poe 2 was dead on arrival'

It is crazy for me too, some people here want a game to fail so much that they’re in I don’t know a denying state?

Like it doesn’t matter numbers going well or things like, as stated yesterday where at some point both games were top 20 on steam. They just want it to fail (even though it is clear now it is probably the most successful thing ggg ever did).

I mean, things are so strange that one of the arguments in this thread were that leagues are for casuals and the secret of success is not making anyone upset… Come on…

Less than 150k players will be playing poe2 when they reset it. they will lose 80% of the new players who tried the game.

Hoho, let's see how that pans out.

This is truly one of the threads of all time.

I don't really think people want PoE 2 to fail.

I find PoE 2 boring as hell. There isn't really anything I can do about that, it's just the way it is. Do I want the game to fail? Hell no, I want it to become a good game. But for GGG to get their shit together and make the game good, they need to listen to some feedback. And people have been playing PoE 1 for years, and when GGG decide to spend all of their resources on a game some players find tremendously inferior to the game they keep "forgetting", I think it's understandable to get a little emotional, making "productive feedback" come out as whining, hating and/or rude comments.

If I (or other people) find the game tremendously boring, I don't really see the problem with sharing that? Tons of people are doing that with PoE 1 too.

I'm just too spoiled by the freedom and customization in PoE 1, and until we get that in PoE 2, I'll probably stay away. I don't think ANY classes, loot, mechanics or additional content could pull me into PoE 2 again, unless they make the layouts good - and give players agency, freedom and choice over what to run and what to buff. A build/character can be fan-fucking-tastic, but if I still have to play that fan-fucking-tastic character on PoE 2's (very) bad layouts, it doesn't matter - at all.

Give me the option to play the layouts I want to play (currently 2 good layouts in PoE 2), and the option to buff the exact maps I want to run, and I might jump in someday. By the way, can anyone tell me why not having this feature makes the game better?
Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

Part of me wants to play more POE1 but psychologically I no longer have an urge to. I think GGG lying and also making something I don't like really dumpstered my interest. I'll probably come back and I might even play a bit more phrecia but I'm just jamming other games instead.

I have to assume a lot of other players feel similarly.

I could write a much longer version of this post but... I don't think it would be productive.
PoE2 is not even finished. Its not even in open beta state and yet there are ppl who claim it "dead".

Concorde is dead. PoE2 is beeing made.

In before delete lol.

Perhaps a bit strongly worded, but yeah, hard to argue the validity
