" You're right. It would've been a predicament if they cared about PoE 1 or its players. They don't, or at least not enough to assign the damn game a director and work on a new league. Only naive people would be surprised about that. It's only natural that PoE 2 gets their full attention, investments and all. People are just let down by the tiny amount of crumbs PoE 1 is getting. And I firmly believe that those people wouldn't feel let down at all, hadn't it been for all those 'promises' about "still supporting PoE 1". All these "tears" you are talking about could easily have been avoided with some better planning and more transparency. Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

" for one, i´ve been there in titirangi and seen the 18 guys cramped into a big room and the dedication and enthusiasm in their eyes and the smiles when i brought them cookies and beer as a thank you for their efforts. second, the openness of ggg about nearly everything they did, their plans and how they managed their fuckups were unprecedented at that time. they´ve ever been there for the players and never really cared about monetisation (how long did we wait for the mtx stash?). then they thought it´s a good idea to go on reddit cause it´s apparently free advertising and thery got hit with the full motherload of selfishness, false claims, outright hate from kids who ddin´t get what they wanted. and people who not only obviously hate the game but also players who like poe. --- looking at your post history, i recommed you get a punching bag for your angerment issues. it´s ok if you blame it for just hanging around and lying to you or whatever. or go back to reddit. or both age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!
