What ascendancy are you guys/girls going for in the event?

If it was a full league, I'd start as Scavenger... but for an event without challenges probably I'll go for some glass canon HoT/BV/some other spell surfcaster.

if you play BG3 you need to use collection pack mods make the game 100x times more fun its the only reason i got 700h in BG3 i have done 6 playthroughs

I tried out the Warrior's Legacy ring (ancestral echo) and honestly it's pretty nice for clear. The requirement that you must move a bit to get an echo means it does 0 for single target, which makes it bad. It doesn't duplicate Vaal skills either so Lightning Strike without ancestral echo is strictly better than every other skill WITH ancestral echo. Smite of Divine Judgment does look cool but it only hits once plus once from the extra ancestral target. Not worth it. I don't know if you'd even take Ancestral Echo as your 4th node on LS.

I might play the GC Tectonic Slam of Cataclysm that everyone is pushing at start until I see how busted the atlas relics are. I don't want to play a squishy build if big rogue exiles is the meta in this short league since I probably won't be playing enough to get over 20 million DPS.

I still think Behemoth infinite Vaal LS could be a real meme. Rage on attack hit is all melee-only now except for eldritch mod on gloves, and the 15% chance to top up rage is only on Admiral's Arrogance gloves so you normally can't cheese infinite rage with LS spam. Get a no soul gain prevention dagger and a little max rage, hit a few things with regular LS, then just hold down the Vaal LS button for infinite screen cancer. If you're going to buy a 15 power rune item you might as well get to spam 15 Vaal LS per second.

NOTHING as im not in the slightest interested in 1 month long nonsensical "event" that doesnt have snowballs chance in hell to have good balance which means joke economy which means im NOT interested ...

id take rerun of an old actual league instead of this garbage nonsense any day ...

Scavenger as CWDT. Stasis Prison to easily sustain hp, void battery (maybe Nycta's lantern at the start) for damage and Leadership's Price with omniscience in the end for insane damage. At first i wanted to be a chill guy (Surfcaster) but Scavenger seems to be stronger.
