Its actually insane how much better poe 1 is.
" It's even worse already because you don't use blink, vaal and your main skill anymore. Now you have one auto attack button and clear 3 screens away. |
" THIS is what GGG needs to realize. People supporting POE2 do not play video games or buy mtx lol. |
" Yeah I don't get the "it's not one button" take either. Those people always put like a week into POE leagues, and in this case, he's wrong. Builds are still "spark" or "Gas arrow". Auto attack is a build and not a meme... It's a super effective way to play and it makes me so confused when people ignore this fact about POE2. The only real differences are bad movement speed, bad loot, no crafting, less control over your end game mapping, and horrendous layouts are the norm. |
" How can we possibly disprove such a specific made up assertion? Oh I know; I buy MTX and I love POE2 so there you go, your argument has been blown up. I honestly can't tell if you're making an absurd joke so if I accidentally took your post more seriously than it was intended my bad. Pandering to players who don't want consequences for their mistakes is a perfect description of what went fundamentally wrong with D3 and 4.
If they wanted mindless mobile game time waster gameplay they sure did make some perplexing choices and marketing statements for 6 fucking years. |
" You can cheese it with the grace period though, right? |
" You get that spark etc. isn't the endgame balance they've professed to want right? I mean whats the point of nerfing armour explosion in week 1 if they aren't also going to nerf the other silly 1button-y things? All that design space and combat balancing... only for the main part of the game to become a clown fiesta? What a disaster that would be. But there's the ideal or target and there's what GGG manages to actually hit. Intention vs execution. I think POE2 can be the greatest ARPG ever made based on how it plays outside of the dumb and busted stuff. Unless they let it devolve into the same space ship shooter that POE1 became. lol, space ship shooter huh ... or, is it really just a hack n slash. Wtf is with this space shooter bullshit. Its exactly a hack n slash, which is what it set out to be, heavily inspired by d2 in its origin. It does that, very well, in fact for so many years now, very well, clearly... based on everyones 24+ spamming fucking supporter pictures in single line posts, like 'first'.
I havent seen one fucking spaceship anywhere, but hey, lets make up dumb names / catch phrases, or better yet, parrot everyone else doing it, its the cool new thing. GGG - Why you no? Last edited by JoannaDark#6252 on Feb 5, 2025, 6:57:03 PM

If they upgrade the Poe1 graphic to Poe2 Level and leave all systems untouched, I would not even want to play Poe2 at all. Sadly, The grahic is important to me and I am always going to pick the fastest meta in Poe2 no matter how "interesting" the other ones look.

" After a 6 week PoE games break I logged back in my SSF Settlers totembro yesterday, immediately I felt the desire to do all kind of things in the game : look how I can farm to improve my gear, setting up a better gold farm atlas tree, rolling and chain running maps... Twice I have now played way passed my recommended bedtime and all I want to do is engage with all the game has to offer. Next to the graphics from PoE 2 the only thing I would love for PoE is WASD. Can't think of much else either. I knew PoE 2 wouldn't be my thing beforehand, but I would not have thought even EA would pale so much in comparison. It feels so weird... Atm I literally don't even care if PoE2 comes out next year or in 2035. I dont want it to be this way, but here I am addicted to PoE1 again in a dead league. Or maybe some day you'll realize why you actually play games and suddenly getting to the end as fast as possible will take a back seat to playing the thing that seems more fun even if it takes longer.
