A Message to Path of Exile 1 Players

I would like to congratulate the Developers on their Game Poe 1&2.

Since release we had a blast, in both games. Balance issues or not. Its alot of fun.

I salute and respect you deeply for the transparency you have shown in communication with your Playerbase, this takes honor, heart and balls.

May all the hard work you have been coordinating bring you greatness.

Thank you for your work, and for keeping quality in gaming, through those corporate ridden dark times.

As with any other companies, no one will keep both games alive if the first one will become absolete eventually.

Just move on people, it's just a business decision, it's the same everywhere in the gaming industry and GGG is no exception.

Business wise, it makes no sense to update the old iterations of the game, because all of your best resources needs to move to the new project. That's the circle of a game's life. Did you seriously thought that POE 1 would continue to live for the next 10 years at the same time as POE 2 ?

poe 2 isnt a sequel

As a player who spent his 20s and seeing poe atm is so disappointing.
I haven't been playing the game last 1-2 years however I have great memories with it. It ruined my 20s and instead of living the life, I played the game.

And seeing chris left the company, and poe1 is shutting down is so disappointing and way he says transparent however very unprofessional.

Howcome a manager can make this mistake and keep on running the company?
You can't oversee the workloads couples months further ?

I don't know if I play an another league but game like poe 1 should live and it has the most greatest player base. It is so unfortunate.

Don't get your head down, people just need to be more appreciative when someone is being honest, and GGG sooner or later is always honest and transparent, this is the best gaming company there is, and for them to learn is a bumpy road, but easier is to just hate on a post reply, not doing what you do.

Keep it up, most of us is just happy GGG exists, and continues working, be happy doing this game, don't get into your heads. Love y'all

PoE is over boys go home :( amazing 10 years tho

It's crazy to me that some people are trying to justify lying to our faces when we literally paid for their "dream come true".

I don't mind Poe 1 being delayed. The thing that I'm kinda mad about is that we poured insane amount of money and insane amount of time to support a company that made Poe 1 for their die hard fans. We built this game together over the last decade and now you have the audacity to spit into our faces for the sake of what? Hit or miss game that has THE SAME PROBLEMS THAT POE 1 HAD YEARS AGO AND IS IN EA?

It's not only the mechanic problems and bugs Poe 2 has. The direction of the game right now is just unclear. To me it feels like Poe 2 is trying to replace Poe 1 and not only you act like it with redirecting Poe 1 team to Poe 2 but the game kinda feels the same with few different systems like towers.

Even tho I like the transparency and "honesty" this was a HUGE miss and you can be sure that Poe 1 fans won't swipe the card every new league. I wouldn't even be surprised if many will quit the game altogether.

Incredibly disappointing. Especially since pretty much everyone knew this was going to happen despite what GGG said. Add to that, POE2 is just a slaughterhouse game.

We understand you, guys! So I'm glad... you don't forget about PoE1. This part needs to grow because it's the father of PoE2. PoE2 can't exist without PoE1. Remember that. GGG is only one company who can do this...My energy supporting you with PLUS ULTRA! TAKE IT...and show our Game Dev world....what does it mean! BE PLUS ULTRA!

Some players act like drug addicts on withdrawal. A few months without PoE will definitely benefit them.

Everybody played poe 2 out of pity and now when honeymoon phase is over and this news dropped true feelings finally hit the fan...I'm so proud of you all.
