A Message to Path of Exile 1 Players
https://youtu.be/T7WiQerKxjg?si=z7l3No1pjFrylWg2&t=44 I'm the product of an artist whose creations bring delight Upon this somber threshold, imagination comes to life Just free yourself from reason Soon, you'll see in black and white Call me a seed of evil But what's that mean if I'm conceived within your mind? Leaking from the ceiling, ink is bleeding through the lines Is that your heart that's beating or illusion you're alive? Collect what's necessary, keep appeasing the divines It's me you should be believing 'Cause he's deceiving you with lies Last edited by Vladimori#5755 on Jan 30, 2025, 2:28:30 PM

Hey Jonathan,
I understand and I absolutely believe that you guys are doing your best. Miscalculations happen. Just want to say that keep up the good work and dont lose hope. We will be there to play your awesome game. BR M |

Insane how everyone is so quick to slate the developers for just putting an update ON-HOLD. When from their businesses stand point and CURRENT playerbase, it makes much more sense to invest the majority of their resources into the game which is currently doing better in terms of daily concurrent players.
But hey, let's alienate the game which has more then likely revitalised PoE outside of the hardcore fanbase for the sake of people needing PoE1 to be prioritised because that makes perfect sense. |

Sorry to hear about the troubles. I have faith you'll get through this, and the game will be better for it. Take care of yourselves and your families. This is just a game after all. And you are giving so much with this game, have given so many amazing hours.
Don't let these challenges bring you down - not as a company, not as a team, not as individuals. Take of each other. Regardless of delays for either game - take whatever time you need, make whatever compromises you need. Don't try to 'Braveheart' this. Sometimes hard decisions need to be made. You've made one now, and maybe you'll need to make more. But PoE 1 is an amazing game, has been from the start. So is PoE 2 - and I'm sure it will only get better. |

o7, thank you for multiple years of fun, its time to quit now!

I wouldn't mind this so much if I enjoyed POE2 at all. But I don't. AT ALL.

heartbreaking. Especially as a player who does not enjoy PoE2. I'm glad I decided to change my forever game. This is the primary reason I stopped buying MTX when PoE2 began to draw all the companies resources.
I knew that the game I liked would never draw the priority that the new shiny fun to work on object did. Let's be real with each other. PoE1 is never going to be a priority again, the information you gave here proves that. PoE2 is always going to need more work to be perfect. Especially with the way you guys develop games. I cannot in good conscience give money to a company who has made it clear there priority is a different product. I am not willing to fund the ongoing development of a game I don't like. Sorry guys. For me this is a complete deal breaker. I love PoE1 and am truly saddened to see it go. |

Honest feedback here.
Impression of the Apology: Score: Decent Apology As expected, you goofed and overpromised while underdelivering. It happens in all industries you are not the first and will not be the last. But to me, an apology has several key things: 1. Your Sincerity. (Acknowledgment/Responsibility/Remorse) 2. How do you plan to fix it? (What is the plan for two games side by side) 3. How do you prevent it in the future? (What is your plan when you have more than 2 games in your future or different projects getting ready for release?) I truly believe your sincerity and I know how disappointed you and your team must feel. I feel though that you need better planning and clearer direction on how to prevent this in the future. With that said stuff happens. Your team and you are human and you make incredible games for people like me to enjoy. Your Art(Games) is amazing and I am truly grateful to get to enjoy it. I know without a shadow of a doubt that you will totally crush our expectations for both PoE 1 and 2. I fully plan to support you guys now and in the future. To me, you guys are still the industry leaders in the ARPG space and look forward to what's coming. Lastly, terrible title. With the launch of Path of Exile 2 you are not a single game dev anymore... This might come as a shocker to you but... A lot of us PoE 2 players are PoE 1 players we are no longer simply PoE fans we are Grinding Gear Game fans... Your title puts people in camps and the truth is you made two AMAZING GAMES. People don't simply play 1 or 2 anymore we will be playing Grinding Gear Games. P.S For the love of everything holy in the world please make PoE 2 Warrior/Maces just a little faster! |

I am glad GGG is prioritizing work on POE 2 right now. POE 1 is in much better state, so it kind of make sense.
