A Message to Path of Exile 1 Players

Do not make promises you do not know you can keep. This is infuriating Poe 2 isn't nearly as fun as the first game you need to support the game that brought you here and delay the second game. This isn't fair to those of us who supported you FIRST.
Thank you GGG, looking forward to whatever you have cooked up for us!!
No worries Jonathan and the rest of the team.

Always better to be honest and straight up with the community.

Always better to release a product your happy with.

Love POE and love POE2, best freaking game company around.
just started poe1 a week ago..now i see this...doesnt give me much confidence.

If you took all the staff and resources away from POE1 for a broken garbage POE2...that tells me you dont care if poe1 even makes it, your just bank rolling Poe2 off the PoE1 players.
your promise to rectify the already broken promise, stating the fact that YOU knew it was a bad idea tells Us that you dont really care for POE1 your just hoping POE2 brings in the same kind of revenue as Poe1 has..Keep dreaming...poe2 wont last its second year and by then poe1 will be dead and players moved on..glad you followed a flawed flow chart..

Very Disappointed.
How about we pause PoE 2, let them continue suffer and focus on PoE 1? It's not like another nerf to trigger spells will make any difference anyways. Just leave it as it is.

By releasing PoE1 3.26 you'll allow people to play that while you peacefully work on a PoE 2 patch.

On the contrary, this means you have more time to explore the game in the current league, learn mechanics, builds, bosses, so you can be ready for the 3.26 release later on
Honestly take all the time you need, i play POE 1 because i love the game not because the different leagues and new content, i might not be able to say much since my highest lvl charachter is currently a lvl 74 gladiator, but i think the game is near perfected, the hunt for that armor and evasion six linked sockets chestplate is what i want to do in my free time, exploring new content and powering through the game just isn't satisfying to me, keep up the amazing work, love ya POE-Team.

ggg doesnt even care anymore, the fomo for poe 2 blinded them so hard, they forgot that a good chunck of those new players are just because of the fomo, once the fomo ends it will lose alot of players, and poe1 players wont accept any shit that the throw at us anymore, ggg is going to regret this.

There's no real FOMO with PoE2. Unless you want to say the supporter packs are FOMO. Those can be gotten right up until the game goes F2P and exits Early Access, so not much FOMO there. If you mean hype, sure, hype will die down if they don't consistently update and keep players engaged. But it can be expected that the game receives a massive surge of players once it goes F2P after Early Access as well.

The game has consistently held over 200,000 players every single day until this last week (https://steamdb.info/app/2694490/charts/#1m). And it makes sense why it's dropping too. PoE2 needs work. It's fun, but it has issues. It needs a lot of the quality content that PoE has gotten over the years. There has been little updating done to the Early Access for the past two months, and with GGG not really sharing much information on what is being worked on and what to look forwards to, it's only to be expected that players have put the game down, some permanently, and some until there's an update.

If you compare PoE and PoE2, PoE2 has been a far greater success than PoE has ever achieved in terms of concurrent players, and it's not even free yet. The only time PoE achieves high numbers is the first month after a new league. During that time it somewhat rapidly drops to sub 50k concurrent players on Steam (https://steamdb.info/app/238960/charts/#1y), soon thereafter finding itself in the 10k range. Perhaps that is the fate of PoE2 as well eventually, but we can't know that yet. You can argue that there's the standalone client that bolsters that number, but that goes for PoE2 as well. Then there's console players. And those who bought the game from in example Epic Games Store.

To say they will regret this is silly and wishful spiteful thinking from a scorned PoE player upset the league patch is delayed with the current focus being on getting v.0.2.0 ready for deployment for PoE2. If anything, they could go all in on PoE2 right now and drop support for PoE, where they'd likely be better off than trying to juggle the two, since right now both games suffer from slowed down updates. Luckily they aren't doing that, and will continue to do smaller updates to PoE for the foreseeable future, while they work on getting PoE2 to a state where it is genuinely the better of the two games. The framework for PoE2 is superior. It's modern, and with some time to cook, it will absolutely be the more future proof and evolved ARPG experience.

you missed the point there wont be a update.. he doesnt care..he is banking on POE2 he has already pushed poe1 to the curb..he just cant afford for poe1 players to bail on them yet ,they need the funds
