"Transparency" in this case is just another word for "broken promises".

but forget that poe2 is an EA, no one judges him because he is an EA.
But you forget that poe1 allowed poe2 to exist, all the support from us players! financially and promoting the game!
And now you're giving up a ready and polished game for an incomplete one, and in the end both end up being bad.

and in the process throw away all the trust of those who always support you (poe1).

GGG all good you have to always move towards the future as a company that is lead by tech poe will never always be your cash cow and you have workers and their families to support as well and poe 2 is the future hell if it was me i wouldn't support both i would have jumped all in on poe 2 in with the new out with the old

Its easy to see how this is some really bad news for PoE1 and its fanbase.

What people currently struggle to realize is the following:
This equally bad news for PoE2, as this is an acknowledgement of how bad of a state this game is in.

Severe crashes and technical issues on the PC front, a complete and utter dumpster fire for console (im talking cyberpunk 2077 levels of problems, maybe even worse),
serious balance issues, an identity crisis when it comes to game direction and core identity and many, many more problems.
Way more problems than what is to be expected for an early access game.
I dont think the decision to abandon PoE1 has come easily and it is a sign of how urgent PoE2 needs fixing!


I feel bad for GGG to be honest, they flew to close to the sun and may have burned their wings forever!

You can justify taking devs off PoE 2 by PoE 2 being a beta.
