If Blatant Display of Boosting/RMT Doesn't Get Punished Im Never Taking the Game Seriously Again

I wish at least the obvious botting and RMT occurring on the trade site was cleaned up to start with. Accounts repeatedly spam whispering all day and night for countless hours should be easy to detect. Also, looking right now there's one individual that almost never logs off with over 10,000 divines worth of quarterstaffs and dualstring bows alone. I find it hard to believe that was done legitimately in just one month of early access. That's one person essentially having a monopoly over weapons that 2 out of 6 classes in the game aka a solid 20+% of the player-base is being negatively impacted and actively manipulated. I'm all for the trading aspect of the game, but when someone is holding 50-60% of the top-end market for an item that should be an obvious enough sign that some form of cheating, exploiting, botting, or RMT is taking place.

The exposure of having this game seen by millions of potential future players vs your supporter pack purchase.
GGG has a tough choice here. I'll be sweating too.

I mean, it's not just "one support pack purchase". It's a blatant and tacit approval of RMT and boosting that completely removes any form of plausible deniability they had.

The OP is far from alone in wanting nothing to do with a game that blatantly allows RMT. Exposure to "millions of potential players" is a joke; the majority of people who are potential players are already playing.

I am so tired of crocodile tears, most the forums kept your mouths shut about a massive problem 1000 X worse which effected nearly every person and the very economy of the game (TFT), but not so much a pepe out of nearly any of you. Elon on the other hand has had next to no effect on the economy, almost no one has been effected by him, and you would think the world was on fire.

Oh please, "the forums" care nothing about game integrity, if the TFT issue got half the outrage Elon has something might have been done the first time Belton proved there was RMT going on. Instead most of you mocked him and supported TFT.

/SARCASMON "If GGG doesn't do something they have no integrity" "On the other hand I stand with TFT, pure as the wind driven snow, (please tft don't ban me like you did Belton's entire discord just for being in his discord, I really love you, if I get banned I won't be able make thousands of Divine anymore TFT)
/SARCASMOFF

This is nothing but selective outrage and moral grandstanding.

who are you even on about? I have never used TFT once in my life and have been playing SSF since its implementation but for the most part i did still care about the leaderboards a lot

First you are downplaying the gravity of the situation, the player base has already doubled (not thanks to any billionaires) with many more to come, if all these new people take him to heart any level of RMT and boosting you ever saw its gonna look like a joke compared with wat it will be

also who the heck was ever defending TFT on the forums other than the small two digit circle profiting from it all?

if you didn't see more outrage from things that were more problematic than this in your eyes is because most people were UNAWARE of such problems, the issue here is that there are people shouting this to millions, that's why the vast amount of the player base are aware of this situation and you see more complains.

Put it like this, have you ever seen anyone else openly admitting to such clear bannable offences and not being dealt with? this is opening the gates to damage you have never seen.

This right here. Am I as a player to understand that boosting my character, account sharing and rmt are on the table now? If I’m seriously considering competing for the leaderboard come full launch should I just hire a team of players to pilot my account 24/7 and just claim credit for owning the account?

If you can afford it then suit yourself I think.

If that’s the case then a) why don’t we hear it from GGG directly and b) the title of the post is warranted.

If people openly admitting to it, tweeting it to millions, being live on TV while their character is mapping have no repercussions I doubt I will ever buy a supporter pack again.

My drive to play the game has been lessening since GGG was radio silence about the topic but i understood they were weighing all the free publicity as a really though tradeoff, but after yesterday i feel like I'm gonna take a break.

After such a display of abuse is public the only outcome will be that any new players coming from this will thing that the leaderboards are a joke and that RMT is the way to go about, and you know what? they will be right because apparently you can shout it to the world and nothing will happen if your bank account is big enough.

Why do you even care about it? Just play the Game? How does it affect you? I dont get it....

GGG has to balance the game around a certain power level. obv not mirror tier, but where do you draw the line? when is a build (and all builds include mostly gear) too much, or the game is trivial and no one stays. if you have RMT purchases muddying the waters, you're probably not going to like the decisions they make. they already balance things to require quickly spamming hundreds of maps to gear up.
It seems GGG is just waiting for the outrage to quietly die out, honestly im quite sad, i just hope he gets bored and stop streaming the game while self reporting how boosted of a player he is, i wonder how much more openly he has to make a joke out of the ladders for GGG to do anything about it.

+1 op is right
if you're taking the game seriously, you'd be playing in SSF
