Could be a coincidence, but each of my crashes happened on the next rare that I saw after getting a checkpoint.

Yea, something bricked with this hotfix, just lost 3 maps in a row to instance crash, portals are gone upon reconnecting.

Maps are crashing at an alarming rate after this patch, WTF? Did you ask Blizzard to test this for you?
