Chill guys. let GGG cook
" thats a good example of your bias leaking into negativity. just because you dont like it doesnt mean its automatically bad. some men are attracted to men. its not for me but i dont shit on them. speaking of fecal matter. durians smell like literal shit but good durians are practically sweet custard in fruit form. absolutely delicious. Some people just have a negative mindset when it comes to PoE 2. Some expect a very specific answer like "yes we will make make this change immediately" and when the devs say anything else like "we are aware of it but did not have time to change it yet" it will be misconstrued as "dismissed".
The simple fact is, it was a good interview. Almost all complaints have been addressed. There will be many improvements in patch 0.1.1. And keep in mind, it was done in one week. And for me the most important, GGG has proven over many years that they know how to develop a game. There is a good reason why PoE 1 consistently gained more players every year. Everybody that claims Mark and Jonathan don't know what they are talking about is simply out of their mind. These people have already made up their mind and nothing will ever change their opinion. " And that's the problem. They are not almighty gods who are never wrong. Dismissing feedback by pretending they know better (when obviously they don't) is a bad behavior and we as customers should point that out. I don't mind waiting some extra time and seeing more patches but right now PoE2 is going in the wrong direction (at least for me and dozen of my friends that also tried the game). |

" That's what I mean. You are one of the players who has already made up his mind and nothing will change your opinion. You are trying to misconstrue what was said to fit your narrative. I never said they were almighty gods that are never wrong. But they listen to feedback, come up with their own solutions that fit their game. And their track record with PoE 1 speaks for itself. If you think you heard something different in the interview, you did not listen. Regarding the being wrong part. There have been instances where they were wrong. And every time this was the case, they stated so themself and were open for changes. Feedback was not dismissed. They may have a different opinion for some points. But even there they said they will take a closer look. You are just twisting what was said. If the game is going in the wrong direction for you, then maybe the game just is not for you. That does not mean that it's going in the wrong direction in general. This only means it is not your taste. I also don't like every single game ever made. And that is ok. i would contend that they have a strong opinion on what they want rather than that they know better. if talking about MF specifically.
they came from diablo2. magic find was part of diablo 2. they want mf and mf on gear to be part of poe2. as criticism towards the devs i would say for certain things, they definitely sometimes cling on to certain aspects of d2 that are archaic and outdated. MF was prevalent in d2 because there was no real end game. rerunning maps in the campaign was the end game and the only true way to get better loot back then was MF. GGG sometimes forget that they are now the pioneers and have moved on away from d2. temp leagues? GGG did it skill forest? GGG did it end game? GGG did it pinnacle bosses? GGG did it league content? GGG did it GGG is the vaal empire of diablolikes. theyre so fucking advanced yet stuck with certain outdated mindset that held themselves back. ggg probably needs to learn from doryani. take alva's hand and step into the future and bring all their innovation with them. then again if we're not talking mf specifically, GGG still has to make their mind up. deliberate game play or zoom zoom? they definitely cant cater to both and one day has to make a decision [Removed by Support]

" MF is a very good example. The data, the facts are in. 100 MF is about 10% more currency drops with very strong diminishing returns. And that is completely fine. Sacrificing 2-3 Affixes to get 10% more currency is ok. As they stated, it offers a new build variant, which is good. But players, out of fomo, blow things completely out of proportion. They simply do not know what they are talking about. They see someone else farm 5 Divine Orbs in a map and their wrong conclusion is this is MF. When in fact there are multiple factors playing a role. Pure luck, fully juiced map (probably 10 breaches, well rolled waystone, large map with many monsters, ...), a strong character that can handle these type of maps, and so on. GGG on the other hand follows data. They take a look at feedback and analyze it. Then come to their own conclusion based on facts, instead of fomo. But some players don't want to accept that and have this delusion that they know better because of confirmation bias. If GGG comes to the conclusion that MF is too impactful, there will be changes. But once again, based on data and facts. |

" That's not true. I just know what makes game fun and challenging for me. I can tell the difference between difficult and tedious game. PoE2 is not very difficult (unless you play some wacky build that struggles to kill stuff) but tedious right now. Death penalties in SC are creeping into HC territory. Right now it's too much time/currency wasted if you die to something that could be out of your control. Dying to bosses is a natural part of learning process. I'm glad they are making pinnacle bosses have 6 attempts, it's a step in a right direction (but I still like D4/WoW/Souls model better - once you access the boss you can bang your head into it as many times as you like until you either kill it or give up). Runes should've been replaceable from the very start but for some reason they didn't do it. Uniques are still trash, they didn't fix anything (at least on the screenshots they posted in their video, +20ES or +200 armor is not gonna fix a bad item, the downsides on some of them are too harsh). Trials are still a problem because some builds can ignore the modifiers and others need almost perfect star alignment to pass. And I don't like that slow and methodical combat of campaign evolves into zoom-zoom endgame. It was one of the reasons I didn't enjoy PoE. I don't like blowing screens up with 1 button, it's boring. But funny enough, current state of PoE2 made me appreciate PoE more since I went back to refresh my memory. and was almost blown away by how everything plays and feels. Skill tree is meaningful (and you feel 'oomph' from taking some notables right away), leveling gems is much smoother (and not gated by RNG of finding uncut gems), and there are other QoL things that are missing from PoE2 right now. |

" And that is ok. Everybody has their own preferences. I was mostly referring to this part, because this is simply false: " Also this game is in early access and many things will change. But some things you are talking about goes against design principles of PoE. Like this: " In PoE it was always that everything you do comes with some investment that can be lost. You are not meant to brute force your way through content. This is not that type of game. In a game like PoE there are hard gear checks, there is a possibility to fail and lose something. This is part of this type of game and a core principal. |

" Good for you? I'm not here to advocate for other people, I'm here to advocate for what I want, the same as you or anyone else. I don't have a vested interest in what a random man wants in his anus; I do have a vested interest in what type of game PoE2 is. That is the most non-sequiter analogy I think I've ever seen. |
