Request for Investigation Into Possible RMT and Boosting Activity in PoE 2
RMT will never be gone and will always be a problem. The problem is not the company, it's the players. Players buy things for "fame", to be the "best", to showoff, to get that edge over others (power).
The company, in this case GGG, can't do much without it costing too much. They can ban both players that buy or sell for real money (which isn't as easy to prove as you would think). And/or they can take legal action against websites that offer items for real money, but this is costly and very time consuming. Taking legal action against such websites is also an international thing, which drives up the cost a ton as you would need lawyers etc in multiple countries. And while I don't know for certain, it most likely isn't illegal to do in some countries. There's a ton I'm certainly forgetting but from a business point of view this is a fight you cannot win. |

This is a single player game...about which fairness and competitive advantages ard you talking?
Are you drunk? Play the game and have fun...no need to investigate what other people do. |

It’s a very good point that gaming integrity is at stake here. If one person gets away with it openly and blatantly then what justification is there for anyone to not do it? Furthermore, if TOS are blatantly ignored then what’s the point of having them?
