ah yes i am competitively doing maps in single player XD i guess to this guy HC severs are a battle royale XD a slot machine , single player game can never be competitive . There is no pvp , there are no ranks. There is no pve ranked dungeons or raids. there are literally 0 aspects of this game that are competitive . except if you consider clicking whisper player on trade competitive . |

SSF should be the main game mode. All of their efforts in balancing their silly barter economy never go anywhere, never have and never will. Only ends up in another mindless slog and festival of abuse by external parties.

Well, everybody is entitled to their own opinion if they think PoE can be classified as competitive of not and there is no definitive answer because it depends on each individual's perception so that's not really worth discussing and not what this thread is about. Same goes for "If SSF matters", it does more for some and less for others.

I doubt there’s any real competition right now—RMT dominates the ranks. It's no longer about skill or time investment; the one who spends the most money wins. RMT providers control the market, leaving legitimate players at a huge disadvantage. If you can’t afford to keep up, do yourself a favor and play for fun, not for fame.
No paywall or ID check will ever fully stop these practices. After just a month, the trade system has become unmanageable for new players. Skyrocketing prices make it impossible to compete without resorting to RMT or sinking endless hours into farming just to build basic gear. This is exactly what RMTs want: to push players into buying from them. Here’s a simple calculation: would you rather farm T12 maps for an hour to earn 6 exalts or spend $0.06 to buy them outright? That’s the dilemma new players face, and it highlights the core issue. GGG needs to prioritize finding a solution if they’re serious about eliminating this parasitic system. |

Doesn't GGG regularly do ban-waves for various things? They usually leave the details of bans completely off everyone's radar, though we regularly get waves of posts about...

I agree there is an intrinsic level of competition in a game like this though. I want my build to be the stronkest. I'm nowhere near even being on the ladder but I get what you mean. I'm struggling to come up with new goals to keep me playing this game.
