Life vs energy shield question

You cant also ignore shield block chance and stun threshold,
Warrior class can wield a 2 handed weapon, a tower shield on their back and still use the shield whenever they want without switching weapons manually. |

" Yea? and ES have free 50% ignore stun, let's talk about that. Also, wtf are u talking about free shield. If u want shield as a caster then use shield. Everyone can use shield, just use it on 2nd weapon slot. Also, POE2 already automate weapon switching with any click. An issue is something like all weapon can use spell, but attacks are locked behind specific weapon, but ignore that. This is not what we are talking about. Either way I think more health items would be fun, I really like playing life regeneration characters in other games.
I think we are looking for god mode here. like in diablo i had so much thorn damage I literally just walked through maps and everything 1 shot itself. it's silly imo. the thorn damage in this game is much more balanced and there no real way to multiply its effects tremendously. |

Chaos Inoculation is one of the most overpowered passives in the game right now. It basically deletes two problems at once - chaos res pressure and the "why am I dying if nobody's attacking me?!" issue.
I can't even properly use it because I depend on life to scale spirit (infernalist pure minion), but I'm still tempted to respec because getting chaos res in endgame feels like trying to buy a rare mod with my actual salary. Meanwhile ES has beachfront property on the passive tree. There are piles of ES nodes everywhere, and then life and armour get told "just fix it on gear", which is fine until endgame prices show up and start doing stand-up comedy. Giving str more life could help, but not if it's a polite little number. If it adds a few hundred life, it doesn't matter when monsters are swinging in multi-thousands. The simplest fix is lowering monster damage so the whole game isn't balanced around "stack a giant blue bar or get deleted". But yeah, if you turn the dial too far, the game risks becoming a sightseeing tour with loot. Still, the current setup makes CI + ES feel like the obvious answer and everything else feel like the hard mode button. |

It is not ES powerful , CI making it powerful. Dots and Chaos damage dealing twice as much damage to ES but CI making you immune to chaos , bleed and poisons. Literally...
Idea ? Keep the CI as it is but add " %60 less Energy Shield" may fix it. |

just buff HP instead of nerfing ES,
Poison ignores ES Bleed ignores ES Sorceress is torn between Damage, ES, and Mana I have negative resistances What really needs to be nerfed are + lvl modifiers, those things are busted and make you a god. I scored a +6 lvl modifier and now I 3 shot a Rogue |

ES max allowed amount should be 8k. No more. Otherwise raise Life to 15k
