"Communicated" ? can you point out where they say they will ALL be taking an over 2 weeks break ? It's not even mentioned on the "news" of the website, all I saw is a Christmas post on 24th on twitter and no mention that it meant no support during this period.

What you fail to understand is that the problem is not that some people at GGG took vacation, the problem is that they ALL took vacation at the same time!

No other company managing a 24/7 service would leave their customers with no support for so long, defending this is beyond me.

What a stupid, selfish take. Grow up. It's pretty normal for good companies to give their employee's time off for the holidays to spend time with family. They've been workinng overtime trying to get POE2 out for early access before holidays so you can enjoy them on your day off.. And you're here complaining about not getting updates fast enough. pathetic.

And again, I never said the problem was them taking vacation, everybody is entitled to vacation.
The problem is doing it ALL at once...

Other companies managing a 24/7 service give vacation as well but teams split the vacation time, some doing it Christmas week, others New year week, some both when possible but still keep a small team at all time to manage problems.

That's what it means for a company to manage a 24/7 service and care for their customers.
I can't comprehend it's that hard to understand.

As we wind down for the holiday season we wanted to thank you all for our most successful launch so far, we could not have done it without all of your support. A lot of our team will begin to take some much needed rest over the next few weeks but we look forward to getting back in the new year refreshed and ready for an exciting year of development in 2025. That's exactly what I said, "A lot of" means that you keep a small team to deal with the most important problems.
That's definitely not the case right now.

EDIT: What people fail to understand is that I still think GGG is a great company and made a great game, granted need polishing and I find Endgame a lil lackluster but I still had a blast and made 5 characters to try different build.
I will continue to support them and I hope the game will only get better.
But do I think they screwed up going on breaks, all at the same time, for over 2 weeks leaving no support ? sure do, that's all.

ok, how do you know ALL are gone? maybe just the people for the VERY important stuff are on the line (how it is in many companies). i mean its EA, why should the majority of the team sit there and work on holidays? EA currently has nothing critical, besides serverstatus, that needs immediate attention... u can wait 2 weeks, not that hard. i dont know why u put so much energy in this case. take a deep breath and stop the selfish thoughts.

There are literally two hotfixes in this forum since the first of the year addressing major issues. Skeleton crews are designed to keep things from falling apart, like major server instability that causes a majority of players from being able to play or significant exploits causing harm to the economy or community. They are rarely equipped to spec out QOL changes or significant updates to systems and/or balance.

Stop being an e-Karen.
