Gentlemen, hello everyone!

Found a solution:
In Settings, go to the Sound tab and change "Channel Count" to Low!
I tried a bunch of things, but this helped!

Game is unplayable for the last 2-3h. It suddenly started spiking like crazy. GGG please take care of these latency spikes!
It’s interesting that this issue only started occurring yesterday and it seems to affect only a subset of players. Respawning at a checkpoint can temporarily fix it, although the problem will reappear in the next zone.
latency spike don know why so sad can not play
not even that, I get infinite loading screens!! GGG servers are not doing the handshake to load the instance. Hear me GGG we can't play here

Hey all!

Just wanting to share that I switched from wifi to ethernet and it fixed my issue for me. Not saying it will for you, but I have not experienced at all since switching tonight.

The game was absolutely becoming unplayable for me before, but now it's running perfectly.

Good luck!

I was on WiFi too, since my office is upstairs. I got so fed up with the latency spikes that I decided to buy a 15-meter RJ45 (ethernet) cable and... my latency is so flat on the graph, it’s beautiful!

I didn’t think the difference between WiFi and ethernet would be that big!

I tried this. Didn't help. Had this issue awhile back too.

Yeah this server issue is not about it. I have been playing with cable and below 30 ms for years and now I can't even enter the game. The server on GGG side is not allowing the handshake for the instance to load. Occasionally I can enter and I have zero problems with latency and such until I enter a portal and go back to loading screen. Then, I am toasted again. This never happened in all the years I play poe1 and any poe2 patch.
Using ethernet also fixed the issue for me. I'm not really sure why since everything else works on wifi but whatever
Latency spikes started after completing the campaign. None of the suggestions here solved the issue.
