The unique items are pure dogshit

I was thinking the same thing, uniques are garbage. I have only found 2 uniques that works well in a build. I didn't find them, I had to trade for them. All the uniques I have found have been garbage. I just sell them to the vendor.

It has unique in the name but they are far from what I would call unique.
It's funny how Titan Quest and Grim Dawn do uniques better. It's pretty clear GGG Devs who work on Poe2 don't actually play ARPGs, just working for the pay

Yes, I don't see how they can play the game the same way as a new player does considering what an absolute slog and time sink it is.

POE2 sold off its name and looks alone, but the gameplay experience is honestly disappointing, giving the impression 'the vision' is from a blind person and they didn't really want to make a new game.
Silverbranch with a 60 level requirement is beyond dog shit. it actually feels bad to find uniques in this game. if they want to do this, scale other stats on these items to match that level req

talking about a game made by true arpg vets vs a game literally made by people who dont play arpgs and are just doing a jobs, youve managed to get it completely backwards.








high end uniques work for builds. theyre the last thing u can really design, we dont have the characters and skills all in the game yet, or the real high end base items. we dont know the balance of the skills, we dont know the builds, how can you design the really high end uniques until you know the build environment they will function within?

the game isnt rly ready for that yet.

Guys, serioussly. If you design and create unique items, please, don't make it worthless. There's 5 uniques in the game right now that everyone and their dog wants (used for one very popular build), the rest is just an easter egg.


Baffles me as well. SO much work by the art team and all the items are poop. Worse, they are 1 chance shard value forever.
I do 3d art. I sell STL files. Hundreds of them the last few months. Cannot imagine my art being wasted like this.

We all know when the rest of the game and items drops all the current unique items will suddenly make perfect sense and contribute in fantastic and amazing ways.

Jokes aside, I wholeheartedly agree.
And the few that do something for endgame is massively over tuned.

I think this will be a good game in 2026 at some point. Maybe.

Sometimes GGG fanboys are even weirder than Blizzard ones.
GGG aren't infallible, and they've been wrong many times.
Most uniques in PoE2 are trash and that's an objective fact.
I kind of agree with OP's original assessment, I'm never excited about a unique drop anymore. They all feel relatively unusable the unique bonuses that are supposed to be "Build Defining" on 90% of these items just feel like fodder / garbage.


I understand without "Bad" Uniques we can't measure or appreciate "Good or Great" uniques, but the ratio of bad to good is far too low.
